RavenQuest is a pixel-art sandbox MMORPG built on Immutable’s zkEVM infrastructure. It is based on a web2 game Ravendawn, which previously achieved over 200,000 monthly active players. Since launching globally on March 14, 2025, the game has offered players a top-down fantasy world where they can create customizable characters, gather resources, craft items, build homes, and engage in both PvE and PvP encounters. The game is free to play on Windows PCs, with a mobile version currently under development. The expansion launch will also coincide with the game becoming available on the Epic Games Store.

New Systems Introduced in the Expansion

The upcoming expansion brings several new gameplay systems. One of the central additions is the Expedition system, a roguelike feature that introduces randomized challenges with varying degrees of difficulty. Each expedition presents a different experience, and successful completion yields rewards that scale based on challenge level.

This system aims to add more variety and replayability to the game’s PvE content. Another significant feature is the introduction of a ranked Arena PvP system. The new MMR-based structure will support 2v2 matches played across three rounds. Players can either queue solo or form a team with a friend.

Arena sessions will be available three times daily, with players allowed to participate in up to three matches per session. Access to the Arena requires players to reach Legacy Level 65. Warforged Skills will be enabled, and there will be no rarity restrictions on RavenCards, allowing for full build flexibility. Players can increase their MMR through wins, which also grant Fame and other rewards.

Additional Content and Class Options

Alongside the new systems, the expansion will add over 60 new classes through the introduction of additional Archetypes. New weapon types will also be available, providing more variety in combat strategies. Quality of life improvements are included, such as the Mass Collect feature, which simplifies resource gathering on player-owned Land.

Players will also have access to Gemstones, a new item that allows further gear customization. The expansion includes a seasonal event known as the Thaw Festival, which will offer limited-time content and rewards, as well as new lore.

The Ostera region will see new high-level monster spawns, introducing more challenging combat encounters. Two new Rift maps will be added, along with a range of new cosmetic options. A new cosmetic item type called Adornments will also be available, offering players additional ways to personalize their characters.

Earning $QUEST In-Game

The Treasures Below will also mark the launch of the $QUEST Ecosystem 2.0. This update introduces new token sinks and expanded utility for the game’s native token. The goal of these changes is to encourage players to find more in-game value for their $QUEST earnings rather than relying on token selling.

Specific details about these economic adjustments have not yet been disclosed, but the update is positioned as a significant step in reshaping the game’s play-to-earn mechanics. Until the new $QUEST ecosystem is live, players can continue to earn tokens by completing Bounties and converting in-game Silver Coins. Silver Coins are earned through various gameplay activities such as completing quests, participating in PvE and PvP, crafting, playing mini-games, and engaging with the Tradepack system.

Tradepacks allow players to convert gathered resources into deliverable packages that can be turned in at Tradeposts for Silver rewards. Bounties offer additional opportunities to earn $QUEST by completing targeted tasks. The in-game peer-to-peer exchange allows players to convert their Silver Coins into $QUEST tokens, supporting an accessible and transparent economy within the game.
