The CEO also spoke of partnerships with retail giants Amazon, Walmart, Target, Smiths, and Hot Topic - just to name a few. The company is specialty looking to focus on targeting retailers in Asia moving forward, hinting at continued growth and market penetration.

The surge in plush toy sales adds to Pudgy Penguins' already impressive portfolio, which includes being among the top ten NFT collections by trading volume. Netz emphasized the project's real-time success, contrasting it with others in the NFT space that may still be struggling to gain traction.

Once recognized solely for its 8,888 NFT collection, Pudgy Penguins underwent significant changes when 24-year-old Luca Netz acquired the project for $2.5 million and assumed the role of CEO in April 2022.
