PlayStation Hyperpop Collection Details

Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed the Hyperpop Collection, a new set of designs for PlayStation 5 accessories, including DualSense wireless controllers and matching console covers. The collection introduces three colorways - Techno Red, Remix Green, and Rhythm Blue - combining glossy black bases with neon gradients to offer a new visual option for PS5 players. The Hyperpop designs aim to complement modern gaming setups, particularly those featuring RGB lighting.

Isabelle Tomatis, Vice President of Global Marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment, highlighted that the Hyperpop Collection provides players with more choices to personalize their PS5 hardware. The designs are intended to stand out while maintaining the functional and ergonomic standards expected from PlayStation accessories.

Design Inspiration and Features

The Hyperpop Collection was developed by Sony’s Color, Material, and Finish team, with contributions from Leo Cardoso and Sae Kobayashi. Cardoso explained that the designs were inspired by the lighting effects commonly found in gaming setups, with the goal of creating accessories that catch the eye without overwhelming the overall setup. Kobayashi added that the DualSense controllers feature a seamless gradient across the front and back, coated in a high-gloss finish to make the colors more vivid. The console covers incorporate a subtle transparency to match the controller aesthetic.

Pricing and Availability

The Hyperpop DualSense controllers are priced at $84.99 USD, €84.99, £74.99, or ¥12,480 including tax. The matching PS5 console covers will retail for $74.99 USD, €74.99, £64.99, or ¥11,480 including tax, with limited availability in select markets.

The Hyperpop Collection is set to launch on March 12, 2026. Pre-orders open on January 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time through direct.playstation.com, where available, and through participating retailers. In the U.S., pre-orders begin at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET. European pre-orders will be available in the U.K., France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg at 10:00 a.m. local time. Customers ordering directly from PlayStation may be eligible for free launch-day delivery, depending on region and availability.

Early Impressions and Use Cases

The Hyperpop Collection introduces a noticeable aesthetic shift for PS5 accessories while maintaining the functional features of the DualSense controllers, such as adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and motion controls. Players looking to customize their gaming setup can now coordinate their controllers and console covers to create a cohesive visual theme. The high-gloss finish and gradient designs are intended to complement modern gaming spaces without altering performance.
