About Pixel Race Club

Pixel Race Club is a multiplayer kart racing game developed by PXU and built on the Abstract Chain. The game features voxel-style graphics and fast-paced races where players collect bombs to disrupt their opponents. Each race consists of three laps and uses simple keyboard controls. The game is optimized for desktop browser play, though mobile support may be added later. The objective gameplay combines accessible mechanics with a layer of strategic depth, making it appealing to both casual and competitive players.

Season 0, Safari Racer NFTs, and Bonuses

Season 0 officially started on May 12 at 2 PM UTC and is expected to run for approximately two weeks. Although the exact end date has not been confirmed, updates will be provided on the official Pixel Race Club Discord server and Twitter (X) account. Participation is straightforward and free, requiring no software download. Interested players can access the game directly through their browser by visiting game.dev.pixelraceclub.com.

Players do not need to own any NFTs to compete or place on the leaderboard. However, those who hold a Safari Racer NFT receive in-game enhancements, such as an increased number of bombs that can be carried during races. These bonuses may offer an advantage in competitive matches, though they are not essential for participation.

Earning Abstract XP Through Gameplay

A central feature introduced in Season 0 is the ability to earn Abstract XP by linking an Abstract Global Wallet to the game. Once connected, players automatically accumulate XP for every completed race. No additional steps are required beyond linking the wallet. Those who already hold Abstract NFTs in their wallet will benefit from increased XP gains, providing an added incentive for existing members of the Abstract ecosystem to participate regularly.

Season 0 features Pixel Race Club’s first implementation of a formal leaderboard system. Points are awarded based on race placement, with higher positions earning more points. These points accumulate over the course of the season and determine the final rankings. Players who achieve top positions by the season’s conclusion will receive exclusive rewards, including Safari Racer NFTs, custom roles within the Pixel Race Club Discord community, and unique in-game cosmetics. Even those who do not reach the top ranks will have their achievements recorded, which may influence future rewards in upcoming seasons.

New Features Introduced in Season 0

Season 0 includes several updates aimed at improving gameplay and increasing player engagement. These updates include the integration of Abstract XP, which allows users to gain experience simply by racing, as well as a new desert-themed map that adds variety to the available race environments. In addition, Safari Racer NFT holders now benefit from upgraded in-game capabilities, such as an increased number of bombs per race.

The season also features a collaboration with Imaginary Ones, resulting in the release of exclusive kart and rider skins. The scoring system for the leaderboard has been refined to provide a more transparent and accessible way to track player performance. These additions are designed to support the transition of Pixel Race Club into a more structured and competitive web3 experience.

Future NFT Plans and Development Roadmap

In addition to the current in-game content, the development team plans to release a new public mint for Safari Racers at the end of May. These upcoming NFTs are expected to provide future utility, which may include additional in-game enhancements, cosmetic options, and possibly staking features. The team has also shared plans for ongoing updates to the game, including the addition of new race tracks, tournament structures, and advanced reward systems.

NFT staking and on-chain badges for notable achievements are also being considered as part of the long-term roadmap. Although Pixel Race Club currently does not feature an in-game token, developers have indicated that the point system introduced in Season 0 may serve as a foundation for potential tokenomics in future updates.

Community Events and Updates

Throughout Season 0, the Pixel Race Club team will host community events and livestreams via Abstract platforms. These events may include additional prizes and opportunities for players to showcase their racing performance. For ongoing updates, patch information, and event announcements, players are encouraged to follow @PixelRaceClub on Twitter (X) and join the official Discord community.

Pixel Race Club's Season 0 serves as both a competitive launch and a foundational step in the game's web3 development, bringing together browser-based gameplay, NFT rewards, and player-driven progression.
