The web3 game Party Icons has officially launched its third closed beta test, marking a significant update to its seasonal content and play-to-earn structure. The latest phase, known as Closed Beta 3, includes the introduction of the X League, a 14-day limited-time event with a growing prize pool that has already surpassed $100,000. This seasonal event also features token airdrops and other cryptocurrency rewards aimed at incentivizing competitive gameplay.

Party Icons is a third-person web3 game built on the Ronin blockchain. It offers players a mix of competitive and casual gameplay across various modes, all integrated within a blockchain-powered economy. Supported by BITKRAFT Ventures, the game is set in a digital environment that includes extraction-based combat and lighter mini-games.

All activities are connected through Miragio Island, the game's central hub, where players can upgrade characters, manage their assets, and trade using in-game currencies. The game is currently available for download on Windows PCs, Android via APK, and iOS through TestFlight. It can also be accessed through HyperPlay, a web3-native game store.

First Seasonal Play-to-Earn Competition

Party Icons Closed Beta 3 introduces the X League, the game’s first seasonal play-to-earn competition. This event runs for 14 days, from July 20 to August 3, and allows players to earn both in-game and cryptocurrency rewards. Participation in the event requires either purchasing an X-PASS or signing a Marauder contract. The X-PASS, priced at $20, grants players access to the event and full ownership of their earnings.

Alternatively, players can sign up for a sponsorship under the Marauder program, which allows free entry but includes a reward-sharing agreement. The X League includes two main game modes. Party Heist is an extraction-based game where solo players compete in teams to collect Gummies and reach an extraction point, all while facing both player-controlled and AI enemies.

Only the solo version of Party Heist is part of the X League for this beta, and players must have a loadout worth at least 50,000 Gold Coins to participate. The second mode, Carnival Clash, features competitive mini-games where eight players vie for the top four positions. This mode has three tiers: Basic, Advanced, and Elite. The first two require an entry fee in Gold Coins, while the Elite tier is gated behind a 50,000 Mirble requirement.

New Event Offers Over $100K+ in Prizes

At the beginning of the beta, the cash pool was seeded with $20,000 by the game’s developers. Since then, the pool has grown to over $100,000 through community contributions, including 75% of proceeds from X-PASS and X-PASS (Mask) sales, 100% of Ticket sales, and 75% of revenue from Season Stake subscriptions. In addition to the cash prize, the X League includes a 3 million $PARTY token airdrop, a creator pool of 100,000 $MNT tokens, and a bounty pool of 15,000 $RON tokens.

The $PARTY token distribution is split between solo players and guild members, with 2 million tokens allocated to individual players based on their ranking in the seasonal leaderboard. An additional portion of the rewards is distributed to players who place in the referral leaderboard, while daily login bonuses provide opportunities to win $MNT tokens.

Details on Participation and X-PASS

Players can start participating in the X League by purchasing an X-PASS, which provides 10 daily Tickets - 3 for Party Heist Solo and 7 for Carnival Clash. Each match consumes one Ticket, and additional Tickets can be purchased for $0.20 each. For those who prefer not to play directly, Party Icons allows passive participation. By holding two Stakes and acquiring up to 40 X-PASS (Mask) passes, users can sponsor players through scholarship contracts.

Another option is to become a Stakeholder and earn a share of the platform's revenue through a 25% Entry Tax and a 15% Earnings Tax collected from match rewards. Once a player has access to the event, they can earn rewards by collecting Gummies in both Party Heist Solo and Carnival Clash matches. Gummies contribute to the player’s Season Points, which in turn determine their share of the main prize pool.

Winning matches increases the number of Gummies and Season Points earned, improving a player’s potential rewards. Closed Beta 3 also adds new gameplay content, including a new hero character named KOOLI, an expanded weapon selection, and the introduction of the R&D Hub for enhanced in-game upgrades.
