Parallel, a card game involving battles across different dimensions, is set to launch its beta version on July 31st, 2023. In this strategic, turn-based game, players build decks that represent one of the five Parallels, and participate in 1vs1 matches against other players in various game modes.
Each player represents a Parallel that determines their special cards and abilities. Players start with 30 Health Points, and the game ends when a player's Health Points are reduced to zero.
Deck construction is a vital part of the game strategy. Decks must consist of 40 cards from a single Parallel and any cards from the Universal pool, with up to 3 copies of a given card for enhanced consistency. Legendary rarity cards, however, are only allowed once per deck.
In addition to the 40 cards, a Paragon must be assigned to each deck. Paragons serve as leaders providing passive abilities throughout the match and can be played as a Unit once per match. Even if defeated in combat, the Paragon's passive abilities persist throughout the match.
Cards in Parallel have an Energy cost, with players gaining Energy by banking cards. Energy is refilled to the maximum available at the start of each turn, but any unspent Energy does not carry over to the next turn. As players build larger Banks throughout the game, they can play increasingly expensive cards, enabling more strategic plays and powerful abilities.
