OverForge 2.0 introduces a new leaderboard event in the web3 game OverKnights, allowing players to earn daily USDC prizes and whitelist spots through competitive PvP gameplay.
Obitus Games has officially launched OverForge 2.0, a limited-time competitive event within its free-to-play web3 card battler, OverKnights. This latest update introduces a daily leaderboard system that rewards the top-performing players with USDC prizes and whitelist spots. Running until the end of June, OverForge 2.0 is intended to maintain player engagement during the current phase of the game’s development and in anticipation of upcoming campaign cycles.
OverKnights Reveals New P2E Event
OverForge 2.0 serves as the upgraded version of a previously introduced temporary leaderboard feature. Its primary purpose is to encourage daily player-versus-player (PvP) engagement. The leaderboard resets every day at midnight UTC, meaning players have a new opportunity each day to compete for top positions by securing wins in tactical card battles.
The top ten players on the leaderboard are eligible for varying amounts of USDC based on their daily rank, with the highest-ranked player also receiving a whitelist spot. While the specific purpose of the whitelist spot has not been confirmed, it is likely connected to future OverKnights NFT events, including the Genesis Pilot NFT mint scheduled for the second quarter of 2025 or the game’s first NFT series set to launch later that same year.
The incentive structure encourages consistent participation, as players can compete daily and accumulate multiple rewards. Additionally, at the end of the event period, the top five overall players will receive unspecified bonus prizes. These final rewards are expected to be revealed closer to the conclusion of the event.
OverKnights Reveals New P2E Event
To take part in OverForge 2.0, players must download OverKnights from the Epic Games Store, where the game is currently available in open alpha. Participation is free, and players can immediately begin competing once they have access to the game.
However, in order to receive any USDC rewards or whitelist spots, players must connect their Immutable wallet to their account. This step is necessary for prize distribution, which occurs on the next business day after each daily leaderboard is finalized. For leaderboard results over the weekend, rewards are distributed on the following Monday.
It is important for participants to ensure their wallet is connected, as unconnected accounts will forfeit any earned rewards, which will then be awarded to the next eligible player in line. Obitus Games has also stated that any actions violating fair play standards, including bug abuse or exploitative gameplay, will lead to disqualification.
OverKnights Reveals New P2E Event
OverForge 2.0 is positioned as an interim feature while the development team prepares for the second Immutable Leaderboard Campaign. This forthcoming campaign is expected to offer broader rewards and more gameplay variety.
The first leaderboard campaign recently concluded, with the top 250 players set to receive Genesis Pilot NFTs of varying rarities. Details for the second campaign have not yet been disclosed, but based on current plans, it is likely to offer additional opportunities for players to earn web3-related rewards through competitive gameplay.
As OverKnights continues to expand its feature set, players who participate in OverForge 2.0 are likely to benefit from experience and preparedness for the larger events scheduled later in the year. The game remains in active development, and new content including quests and additional leaderboard challenges is expected to follow shortly after the current event ends.
