Obitus Games has announced the utility of the Genesis Pilot NFT collection for OverKnights, a free-to-play card battler developed with support from Immutable and built on the Sequence developer platform. While a mint date has not yet been confirmed, players can still qualify for the whitelist and secure a spot to mint one of these limited digital assets.

The value of each holder’s airdrop will depend on two factors: the rarity of the NFT and the length of time it has been held. Rarer NFTs and longer holding durations will result in larger airdrop allocations. In addition to the airdrop, NFT holders will be eligible for bonus multipliers in an upcoming play-to-airdrop campaign.

These multipliers will scale with the rarity of the NFT and will affect the amount of tokens earned through gameplay. The campaign is set to begin shortly after the NFT mint. Genesis Pilot holders will also receive a special title, a unique in-game profile picture, and lifetime access to the game’s battle pass. However, these benefits are contingent on continuous ownership; transferring or selling the NFT will result in the loss of these perks.

Holders will also receive a one-time Founder Pack, which includes exclusive in-game items such as consumables and skins. The contents of the Founder Pack will vary based on the rarity of the NFT, with rarer items available to those who mint higher-tier NFTs. Whitelist, Minting and Other Details

Players can still secure a whitelist spot for the Genesis Pilot NFT mint by participating in various community-led events. A previously run Play-to-Whitelist campaign concluded on July 14, meaning current whitelist access must now be earned through social and community participation. The game’s Discord server serves as the primary hub for announcements and updates on new opportunities to qualify.

Anyone who secures at least one whitelist spot will be guaranteed the ability to mint one Common-tier NFT. However, players who collect multiple whitelist spots may be eligible to mint NFTs of higher rarity. The system allows users to improve their minting outcome based on their level of engagement.

For instance, two whitelist spots offer a chance to mint a Rare NFT, while five spots guarantee one. Collecting ten spots may yield a Mythical-tier NFT, and fifteen will guarantee one. Regardless of the number of whitelist spots collected, each participant may mint only one NFT. The purpose of this structure is to reward consistent community involvement with access to rarer digital assets.

Legendary NFT Raffle and Tournament

As a final incentive, Obitus Games will host a raffle for one of the six total Legendary Genesis Pilot NFTs. Eligibility for the raffle is determined by whitelist tier. A single whitelist spot provides one raffle entry, while higher tiers offer more entries, increasing chances of winning. For example, a player with five whitelist spots earns six entries, while those who reach the Mythical tier gain fifteen.

In addition to the raffle, OverKnights will host a competitive tournament from July 18 to July 22. This event will provide another opportunity to win a Legendary whitelist spot, along with USDC rewards and other in-game prizes based on player rankings. Participation requires registration, with further details about the tournament structure expected to be announced in the days leading up to the event.
