OpenSea Launches AI Mobile App

OpenSea introduces its AI-powered mobile app, curated Flagship NFT Collection, and final Pre-TGE rewards as the platform prepares for the $SEA token TGE in October.

OpenSea has announced a new set of updates as part of its OS2 platform expansion. The company introduced a rebuilt mobile app with integrated artificial intelligence, a curated Flagship NFT Collection, the final stage of its Pre-TGE rewards program, and new information on the upcoming $SEA token generation event. These updates mark a continuation of OpenSea’s efforts to broaden its services following its acquisition of Rally and to establish a more comprehensive on-chain trading experience.

The redesigned OpenSea Mobile App is central to the platform’s recent announcement. Unlike many existing wallets that require users to switch between different platforms, the new app is designed to unify token, wallet, and NFT management across multiple blockchains.

The app also introduces “OpenSea Intelligence,” an AI-powered feature that analyzes users’ portfolios across chains and provides real-time insights to help streamline trading decisions. The same infrastructure supporting this system has recently been made available to developers through MCP servers. Early access to the mobile beta and the OpenSea Intelligence tool is expected to open through a waitlist in the coming weeks.

Details on Pre-TGE Events and NFTs

OpenSea has also launched its Flagship Collection, an official series of curated digital assets that will include both historic NFTs and works from emerging artists. The first item in this collection is CryptoPunk #5273. According to the company, each selected piece will be accompanied by a detailed explanation of its significance, with the goal of highlighting creators and preserving cultural history in web3.

The selection process will be conducted by OpenSea staff in collaboration with external digital art advisors, supported by integrity controls to ensure transparency. The last phase of OpenSea’s Pre-TGE rewards program will begin on September 15. In this phase, half of the platform’s fees will be directed to a rewards vault, which has already been seeded with $1 million worth of $OP and $ARB tokens.

Users will receive a “Starter Treasure Chest” in the Rewards Portal, which can be upgraded through participation in trading, daily “Voyages,” and collection of surprise “Shipments.” Each chest will be assigned a tier ranging from one to twelve, with higher levels providing access to more valuable prizes, including NFTs from established collections such as Pudgy Penguins and Bored Apes. The rewards system is directly tied to the forthcoming $SEA token, with treasure tiers expected to influence allocations at the time of launch.

OS2 Platform Upgrades and $SEA Token

The OpenSea Foundation has confirmed that details of the $SEA token generation event will be announced in early October, though an exact date has not yet been set. The token will be distributed with a focus on long-term incentives and platform stability, and it will also serve to recognize historic platform activity. This distribution will be separate from the current Pre-TGE rewards program and will come directly from the Foundation at the time of the TGE.

All of these developments are part of the broader OS2 upgrade, which was launched out of beta earlier this year. The system now supports token trading across 19 blockchains, introduces faster listings, cross-chain purchases, enhanced analytics, and discovery tools, and expands the reward-based Voyages program to encourage user engagement. Voyages allow users to earn XP for completing tasks such as trades, swaps, and gallery shares, with new quests added on a weekly basis.

OpenSea has also extended its presence into web3 gaming. In May, professional gamer Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson was announced as the platform’s first global gaming ambassador. Known for his achievements in both esports and web3-based titles, Jackson’s appointment reflects OpenSea’s aim to connect competitive gaming with digital asset ownership. This step aligns with the company’s broader strategy to unify on-chain activity and expand its role in digital ownership.
