Off The Grid (OTG), the web3-powered game by Gunzilla Games, is bringing its futuristic battle royale experience to Xbox Series X players. Following a successful PlayStation 5 playtest in August, OTG now offers an exclusive opportunity for Xbox Insiders in North America and Europe to dive into its cyberpunk universe. This playtest allows participants to explore a non-final version of the game and contribute to its development before its full launch.

Off The Grid (OTG) is a high-end battle royale third-person shooter that also features a 60-hour single-player campaign. A unique aspect of the game is its integration of cybernetic limbs as swappable and tradable NFTs, along with a wide range of customizable weapons. These items can be traded using the game's mobile wallet, which operates with the GUN token.
Gunzilla Games has been developing Off The Grid for more than four years, raising over $100 million to bring this ambitious project to life. Gunzilla Games' co-founder and CEO, Vlad Korolov, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating:
"With the launch of Off the Grid and GUNZ to the public, we are not just advancing towards a new horizon in AAA gaming but also establishing a new standard in the blockchain space." Korolov's vision underscores the company's commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation in web3 gaming.

Players stepping into the OTG playtest will experience a work-in-progress version of the game, which may include unpolished features and occasional bugs. Gunzilla Games is relying on player feedback during this phase to fine-tune the game's mechanics, aiming to create an engaging battle royale meets web3 experience.
OTG's playtest allows participants to immerse themselves in a cyberpunk dystopia, where 150 players face off on Teardrop Island. The game also includes AI-controlled enemies, adding an extra layer of strategy and unpredictability to each match.
In August 2024, OTG made headlines as the first web3 game to launch a playtest on a console, debuting on PlayStation 5. The event was a significant moment for blockchain-based gaming, with a strong turnout from eager players. The PS5 playtest showcased OTG's blend of immersive gameplay, customization options, and a mix of player-versus-player (PvP) and player-versus-environment (PvE) combat.

The playtests mark a key step toward establishing Off The Grid as a notable addition to both the battle royale genre and web3 gaming. By offering Xbox players an early glimpse of its dynamic world, Off The Grid continues to build anticipation for its full launch, with players playing a crucial role in shaping its final form.
