Nifty Island has announced the launch of ApeChain Events, a limited-time campaign running from May 19 to May 23, offering players the opportunity to win NFTs by participating in mini-games within its metaverse. The event is designed to celebrate the integration of ApeChain into Nifty Island’s multi-chain gaming environment. Players can compete by earning points through specific game modes on designated islands, which then qualify them for entry into raffles that distribute a variety of on-chain rewards.

What is Nifty Island?

Nifty Island offers a social gaming experience akin to popular titles such as Animal Crossing and Fortnite, where players can create, explore, and customize their own virtual islands. The platform emphasizes user-generated content, enabling players to construct landscapes, buildings, and decorations while interacting with friends and participating in community events.

Partnering with prominent NFT projects like World of Women, Cool Cats, and Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Nifty Island also integrates with the Ronin Network, expanding its virtual universe to include additional games and assets. Nifty Island is currently in Open Beta and is accessible via downloadable clients for Windows and MacOS from the official website. 

ApeChain Events, Quest Islands, and NFTs

The ApeChain Events take place across two Quest Islands known as Normandy and Emmy’s Garden. Players who visit these islands can participate in a selection of mini-games that are part of Nifty Island’s Playground game modes. These include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Foot Race, Capture the Flag, and Prop Hunt. The main objective is to collect Blooms, a form of in-game currency, with each pre-multiplier Bloom earned translating into one quest point.

These points are then used to enter raffles for a chance to win NFT prizes. Both Quest Islands share the same reward pool, meaning that quest points collected on either island contribute equally toward raffle eligibility. Multipliers do not apply in this event, so only the base Blooms earned count toward a player’s point total. This uniform point system ensures fair competition across both island maps.

Raffles, Rewards, and ApeCoin Ecosystem

The ApeChain Events feature seven raffles, each requiring a different number of quest points for entry. These raffles include both in-game currency rewards and NFTs from collections that are part of the ApeCoin-powered blockchain ecosystem. Collections represented in the prize pool include SkeleFrenz, Dojo, Kidz, Otterful Otters, and Nekito.

Two of the raffles offer 1000 and 2000 Blooms respectively, with each having ten winners. The remaining raffles feature specific NFTs, such as Nekito #4044 and various SkeleFrenz and Otterful Otters assets. Entry into these raffles ranges from 400 to 600 quest points, depending on the item. Winners will have approximately one month to claim their rewards, which are distributed on ApeChain.

Free Participation and Key Dates for Events

Participation in the ApeChain Events is open and free to anyone with a Nifty Island account. New users can sign up easily using Sequence, which allows for both web3 wallet and traditional web2 social media login options. After creating an account, players can download the Nifty Island launcher available for Windows and Mac. A mobile version is not available at the time of writing. To begin questing, users can navigate to the official quest page and select one of the two designated Quest Islands.

Each island page provides a link to access the world directly via the game client. Once in the game, players can start joining or hosting Playground game sessions, during which they can accumulate Blooms and, in turn, quest points. The event continues through May 23, allowing players several days to earn enough points to enter the raffles. All gameplay takes place in third-person perspective, offering a social and competitive environment consistent with Nifty Island’s broader metaverse experience.
