New preview trailer for The Machines Arena Open Beta Season 3, showcasing new skins, maps, collectibles, and the upcoming Ultimate League mode. Season launch tied to $TMA token event.
After a period of silence, Directive Games has released a new preview trailer for Open Beta Season 3 (OBS3) of The Machines Arena (TMA), its top-down hero shooter web3 game. The trailer provides a first look at the new season’s content, including skins, collectibles, and confirms the upcoming Ultimate League game mode is still planned for release post-token generation event (TGE). Alongside the trailer release, the developer announced plans to improve communication with the community through regular social media updates.

The trailer gives players a brief look at several new additions coming with Open Beta Season 3. Among the featured content are new skins and cosmetics that players will be able to unlock and mint throughout the season. In addition to the cosmetics, the trailer showcases a new map and new familiars, which are in-game companions that assist players. It also introduces Seasonal Reward Crates, which contain rare items and power-ups. These crates come in three different rarity levels and require keys to unlock. Players can earn these keys through gameplay or purchase them within the game.
The trailer also confirmed that the Ultimate League mode remains on track for OBS3. This mode was first announced in December 2024 and is designed to operate separately from the existing Ranked gameplay. Ultimate League will use tokenized mechanics to experiment with new progression systems without impacting the competitive balance of the current game modes. Improvements such as better matchmaking for a fairer experience and double XP weekends aimed at speeding up hero progression are also expected to be part of the upcoming season.
New Open Beta Season 3 for TMA
At this time, there is no confirmed launch date for Open Beta Season 3. The season’s release is tied to the launch of the $TMA token through the Token Generation Event, which has not been scheduled. The development team has stated that OBS3 will begin once the token launches, making it the first token-based season for the Ronin-powered title.
Earlier in the year, the Chief Product Officer shared on Discord that the new season and game mode are ready for launch but delayed to coincide with the TGE. This delay is seen as necessary to avoid negatively impacting the project by releasing major updates without the token infrastructure in place. The extended pause was partly due to challenging market conditions and unforeseen complexities.

The developer acknowledged that the lengthy silence caused frustration among the community. To address this, the team has committed to consistent and transparent communication going forward. The release of the preview trailer marks the start of this renewed engagement. The studio urged the community to focus on constructive dialogue and avoid actions that would slow progress, emphasizing that the timing of the TGE is beyond their direct control.
The developer plans to increase activity on social platforms with regular updates about the season and ongoing development. Earlier this year, Directive Games announced that The Machines Arena would be launching on Steam and PlayStation 5 in the near future. Currently, the game is available to play for free on PC and Android. Players can download the Windows version or the APK file directly from the official website. The game is also available on the Epic Games Store for PC users.

The new preview trailer from Directive Games offers a clear indication of what players can expect in Open Beta Season 3 of The Machines Arena. New skins, maps, familiars, and the tokenized Ultimate League mode are all set to enhance the gameplay experience. Although the launch remains dependent on the $TMA token generation event, the developer’s renewed commitment to communication aims to keep the community informed as the project progresses within the web3 gaming space.
