New Nintendo Switch Games for July 2025
July is shaping up to be a strong month for Nintendo fans, with a packed slate of new releases for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Whether you're into rhythm-based strategy, narrative-driven adventures, or open-ended exploration, July’s releases bring something new to the table for nearly every kind of player. Here’s a breakdown of all the major games arriving this month.
The iconic skateboarding series returns on July 11 with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, launching on both Switch and Switch 2. This updated collection brings together two of the franchise’s most beloved entries with modern enhancements. Expect new skaters, redesigned parks, and a boosted soundtrack, all wrapped in a slick remaster. On Switch 2, players can look forward to sharper resolution, smoother frame rates, and HDR support.
Also landing on July 11, PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY brings the rhythm-based strategy cult hit back to the spotlight. Using drum beats to command a quirky army of eyeball warriors, players will battle through stages while staying in perfect sync with the beat. The combo of music, tactics, and adorable design still holds up, and it’s now optimized for both Switch systems.
Donkey Kong Bananza drops July 17 and is exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2. This game takes DK and Pauline into a massive underground world filled with destructible terrain and environmental puzzles. Using DK’s power and Pauline’s voice-based abilities, players can punch through rock, tear down walls, and open up new paths. It’s part platformer, part excavation sim, and looks like one of the month’s most creative first-party launches.
Also arriving July 17 is The Wandering Village, a city-building sim set on the back of a massive creature named Onbu. As a group of survivors tries to escape a world choked by poisonous plant life, players will manage resources, expand their settlement, and build a cooperative relationship with their giant host. It’s a fresh take on post-apocalyptic horror survival with a strong focus on balance and planning.
Shadow Labyrinth drops July 18 and sends players deep into a forgotten world as Swordsman No. 8, an awakened warrior tied to a floating orb named Puck. The game blends action-RPG mechanics with a layered mystery set among the ruins of long-lost civilizations. The Switch 2 version offers a smoother, more detailed presentation, but the core game remains the same across both platforms.
Arriving on July 22, Monument Valley 3 follows Noor, a new protagonist navigating surreal seascapes and mind-bending puzzles. With her village threatened by rising tides, Noor must journey through dreamlike architecture to uncover the truth behind the Sacred Light. It builds on the atmospheric puzzle design the series is known for while pushing into more narrative territory.
WWE 2K25 lands on July 23 exclusively for Switch 2 and introduces The Island, a new open-world hub filled with themed arenas and challenges. Players will create their own MySUPERSTAR and fight to prove themselves in a campaign tied to “The Original Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns. It’s a different kind of WWE experience, blending traditional wrestling with a more sandbox-style approach.
On July 24, Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV delivers a new spin on the party formula. Jamboree TV mode transforms your living room into a multiplayer game show, complete with interactive casual mini games that use Joy-Con 2 controls, the system’s microphone, and even a USB camera. Expect a more social and reactive Mario Party experience, designed specifically for Switch 2’s upgraded tech.
Releasing July 25, No Sleep For Kaname Date is the latest entry in the AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES universe. This time, Iris is abducted by aliens and trapped in a bizarre escape game aboard a UFO. As Kaname Date, players will solve puzzles, investigate suspects, and dive into dreams using the Psync system. It’s packed with the surreal storytelling the series is known for, and available on both Switch consoles.
Finally, WILD HEARTS S hits Nintendo Switch 2 on July 25. Set in the harsh lands of Azuma, this action game pits players against elemental beasts called Kemono. Using the Karakuri crafting system, players can build tools and traps mid-battle to gain the upper hand. It’s built with Switch 2 in mind, making use of the console’s improved visuals and processing power.
July has even more in store, with additional titles and indie surprises expected to drop throughout the month. Whether you're into action, puzzle-solving, rhythm games, or party chaos, there’s a solid range of options to choose from. Check the Nintendo eShop regularly for new releases and updates, and don’t forget to pre-order or wishlist your top picks.
