In a strategic move poised to help enhance web3 gaming experiences, Netmarble’s blockchain subsidiary, MARBLEX, has entered into a partnership with CARV, a leading provider of gaming and AI modular data solutions. The collaboration seeks to unlock fresh insights into user behavior across both web2 and web3 gaming realms, with the ultimate goal of enhancing global player engagement.
"Understanding our users is central to our role as game creators and ecosystem builders. Partnering with CARV and its comprehensive data layer empowers us to provide personalized experiences through active data sharing, aligning our offerings even more closely with user preferences," said MARBLEX CEO Jin Pyo-Hong.
The undisclosed investment from MARBLEX into CARV signifies a significant step towards expanding MARBLEX’s presence within the web3 domain. CARV boasts an extensive ecosystem comprising 2.2 million gamers across mobile, console, and PC platforms in regions spanning Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Europe, all while adhering to stringent mobile security standards.
"Marblex is a gaming and blockchain pioneer and we’re thrilled to elevate the company’s data capabilities in the dynamic landscape of web3," said CARV co-founder Victor Yu. "Identifying the right audience - particularly in a compliant and ethical manner - is paramount for transitioning gamers from web2 to web3. We're eager to collaborate with Marblex in achieving precisely that."
CARV’s growth trajectory has been bolstered by strategic alliances with notable web3 entities such as Ronin, BNB Chain, and Avalanche, leveraging protocols like ERC-7231 approved by Ethereum to redefine data ownership. At the heart of CARV’s mission lies the empowerment of users through "data self-sovereignty," facilitated by its CARV Protocol and CARV Play ecosystems.
MARBLEX’s investment follows Netmarble's commendable performance in 2023, solidifying its position as Korea's second-largest mobile publisher with a notable 65% reduction in net losses. With MARBLEX and CARV spearheading web3 innovation, the gaming landscape is poised for a more immersive and engaging future.
