Moonveil Entertainment has secured $5.4 million in funding to advance its mission of creating engaging web3 mobile games. This funding will enable them to craft games that strike a balance between casual playability and depth, redefining the mobile gaming landscape.

Moonveil Entertainment, led by CEO MJ Wong and a team of experienced professionals, is dedicated to delivering remarkable gaming experiences. Wong's background includes over a decade of experience in game development and publishing, with previous roles at Riot Games in China. Other founders of Moonveil Entertainment also come from reputable gaming companies such as Riot Games, Tencent, and the wider crypto community.
We don’t want people coming in only because it’s a Web3 game for speculation. We want gamers to come in because they love the product, love the game, and then gradually figure out how we can empower them to make that happen.
MJ Wong, CEO of Moonveil Entertainment
The funding round was led by Gumi Cryptos Capital and Arcane Group in a two-part round, with support from investors such as Longhash, IOSG, and Infinity Venture Crypto. The company initially raised $3 million in September 2022 and added an additional $2.4 million more recently.

Moonveil Entertainment's core philosophy centers on player experience. They aim to establish an open ecosystem that deeply engages players with their web3 games, offering rewards and recognition. Web3 technology plays a crucial role in connecting players' achievements with compensation, validating their dedication, and legitimizing their ownership within the gaming world.
The team views web3 as a potent tool that empowers games in three fundamental ways:
Connection: It serves as the bridge connecting a gamer’s accomplishments with their compensation.
Validation: It reaffirms their unwavering commitment to players who dedicate themselves to contributing.
Legitimization: It bestows legitimacy upon players’ ownership within the gaming realm throughout their lifetimes.
Moonveil Entertainment is actively working on two web3 mobile games. The first, AstrArk: Stage One, is a tower defense game that incorporates player-versus-player (PvP) and player-versus-environment (PvE) battles. Players will have the freedom to select their commander and build a team while engaging in various battle modes.

The second project, cryptically named Project B, remains under wraps, with details set to be unveiled in November 2023. The goal is to create a mid-core game that's accessible yet offers an immersive experience.
We truly believe that there could be value that we can bring from the web3 features and community. A lot of other web3 games go about it the wrong way in my opinion. We see the value from web3 by providing connections that can help the players to connect your endgame achievement and out-of-game accomplishments in a more effective way. And I personally truly believe gamers need to be and should be better treated right now.

Moonveil Entertainment's successful funding round is a significant step towards their goal of revolutionizing the gaming experience. With an expert team and a commitment to player-centric gaming, the future of web3 mobile games remains promising. Stay tuned for more updates, including the unveiling of Project B in November.
