The sale is scheduled to begin on June 12 at 1 PM UTC and will take place on the Open Loot platform. A total of 1,833 Mystery Boxes will be made available to the public in two separate phases, with each box priced at $149.99. The initiative is aimed at enabling early access to Moonfrost’s play-to-earn features through the inclusion of exclusive, game-relevant digital items.

These tools are enhanced versions of standard tools and are essential for engaging in activities that generate token-based rewards, such as chopping trees, mining ores, or fishing. Although Frost Tools themselves cannot be traded, they enable token earning based on their "Luck" attribute, which varies by rarity and directly impacts their durability and performance. Tools eventually break after a set number of uses and cannot be repaired, necessitating continuous crafting for ongoing participation in the token economy.

Crafting Frost Tools requires not just a FROST print but also access to a FROST Workbench. These crafting tables come in nine rarity levels and determine the maximum rarity of Frost Tools a player can produce. Players cannot craft tools from blueprints that exceed the rarity level of their Workbench. Additionally, in future updates, the Workbenches will allow for the upgrading of FROST prints, provided the Workbench is of equal or greater rarity than the item being upgraded.

During this phase, each whitelisted participant will be able to purchase up to two boxes.

Following this is the Public Phase, from 1:10 to 2:00 PM UTC, which will operate on a first come, first serve basis. Participants in this open phase can purchase up to five boxes in total, including any bought during the Whitelist Phase. A minimum of 200 boxes has been allocated for the Public Phase, according to the latest announcements on the official Moonfrost Discord channel.

Participation in Moonfrost’s early access version will require ownership of a Gnome Key, which was originally bundled with the Early Access Package. That initial bundle sold out in under 30 seconds during the whitelist release.
