Our inaugural GAM3 Awards features over 30 members on its jury to help recognize the best "gam3s" in each of the 16 categories. The event takes place on December 15, and will be livestreamed across all our socials. It is time to get everyone familiar with each member of our jury. We got the opportunity to sit down with each of them to ask them a set questions to help you get to know them more personally, their favorite gaming moment growing up, what pushed them to make the jump into web3 gaming, and their outlook on the future of blockchain gaming.
The first one we have up is Jonah Blake, the CEO and Founder of Real Third Web. RE3W is a digital asset agency aimed at web3 games and NFT projects looking for any services within the metaverse. This includes anything from building dedicated virtual worlds to metaverse experiences customized for your brand. On top of that, Jonah Blake and the RE3W team helps you through contract reviews, digital asset research, partnerships, gaming and esports management, virtual property bundling, and more.
At the same time, Jonah serves as the Chief Gaming Officer at Game Fund Partners. We sat down with him to get all the answers you need to Meet the Jury of the upcoming GAM3 Awards, so let's get right into it.
What is your proudest gaming moment?
When my brother and I were able to get a PS3 day one because we won a raffle at the local mall.
What pushed you to transition into work in web3 and choose gaming as your sector of choice?
Esports was the first place I was able to build an identity around gaming and the owning/trading of digital assets is an obvious next step.
What excites you the most about the current state of web3 gaming?
Indie developers have open opportunity to define new game design and monetization practices.
Where do you see RE3W’s role in the future of web3 gaming?
Our goal is to be one of the best web3 gaming news and media groups in the world. Providing players with the information and assets they need to play the next great game.
If you could name one major milestone yet to happen to push web3 gaming adoption forward, what would it be?
Improved custodial wallets and distribution.
