Marvel Rivals is back with its most chaotic season yet. Season 2.5 drops May 30, and it’s packing serious heat — from a flying Ultron support hero to revamped team-up moves and a fresh map that looks like Krakoa got a villain-core makeover. Here’s everything you need to know (and probably more than you asked for).
Ultron Joins Marvel Rivals Season 2.5

Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 Update
Ultron Official Release: Strategist
Say hello to Ultron. The big bad Tony Stark experiment and one of Marvel fans' favorite villains will soon become a playable strategist. He’s flying, he’s healing, and yes, he’s absolutely about to ruin some of the typical team comps we see most teams running. Here's a quick look at his toolkit:
- Encephalo-Ray: Standard energy beam. Pew pew.
- Imperative: Firewall: Summons drones that give nearby allies bonus health.
- Imperative: Patch: Healing drone that follows an ally like a loyal puppy bot.
- Dynamic Flight: Yup, he can fly. Good luck hitting him.
- Rage of Ultron (Ultimate): Drone swarm that deals AoE damage and heals friends.
- Algorithm Correction (Passive): Softens his landings so he doesn’t break a circuit.
Expect Ultron to shake up the support meta with mid-air healing and drone-based chaos.
Team-Up Abilities: New, Tweaked, and Gone

Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 Update
Season 2.5 is also a glow-up for Team-Ups. Six new combos, one reworked, and four got yeeted out of the game.
New Team-Ups You'll Wanna Try:
- Symbiote Shenanigans: Venom and Jeff tether for healing, in case you needed another reason to hate Jeff.
- Operation: Microchip: Punisher and Widow make Widow’s shots deadlier as it pierces through enemy lines.
- Chilling Assault: Luna Snow gives Hawkeye icy new arrows that hit harder the further away the target is, even through cover. Cool, literally.
- Rocket Network: Rocket and Peni team up to give Peni an additional mine nest, and Rocket gets to summon his own spiders too with his B.R.B ability.
- Stark Protocol: Iron Man and Ultron team up giving Ultron a brutal Uni-Beam that pierces through anything in his path.
- Jeff-Nado: Storm and Jeff create a water tornado similar to her ability with the Human Torch.
Removed Team-Ups:

Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 Update
- Chilling Charisma (Luna + Jeff)
- Allied Agents (Hawkeye + Widow)
- Symbiote Bond (Spider-Man + Peni + Venom)
- Ammo Reload (Rocket + Punisher; now only for Winter Soldier)
