Nexon’s PC-based MMORPG MapleStory N, launched on May 15 on its proprietary Avalanche-based Henesys blockchain, has recorded steady growth across multiple key performance indicators. The platform has now exceeded 70,000 daily active unique wallets (DAUWs), a milestone that highlights rising player engagement. This increase has occurred despite Nexon enforcing strict anti-cheating measures, including the banning of over 6,000 accounts in the past week.

MapleStory N represents the first official game launch within the broader MapleStory Universe. It is designed to combine the familiar side-scrolling gameplay of the original series with new mechanics enabled by blockchain. The game utilizes secure, gasless transactions and offers tradable on-chain assets, which will allow players to participate in an open, player-driven economy. With over 250 million users globally since the franchise's inception, this latest release is expected to extend its reach while introducing new digital ownership models.

The Henesys blockchain now stands out as the most active Avalanche-based gaming chain. In terms of daily wallet activity, it has overtaken Beam, Off The Grid’s Gunz blockchain, and DeFi Kingdoms’ DFK chain. This performance positions Henesys as a central hub for Avalanche-based gaming in the web3 space.

MapleStory N’s MSU marketplace has also shown significant growth in trading activity. Since launch, more than 12.5 million NFTs have been listed, involving nearly 700,000 active wallets. These users have collectively traded 9.4 million NFTs, with the cumulative transaction value reaching $6.3 million. This volume represents 448 billion NESO, the game’s offchain currency.

The value of high-level digital assets within the game continues to increase. A recent sale set a new record, with a level 205 character NFT purchased for 888,888,888 NESO, which is equivalent to $12,694. This transaction reflects rising interest in high-value NFTs within the MapleStory N ecosystem.

Despite upward trends in user activity and NFT trading, the value of the game’s NXPC token has declined. Since the platform's launch, the token has lost 62% of its value. This decline contrasts with the growth seen across other areas of the Henesys blockchain and suggests that token valuation may not be directly tied to marketplace or user engagement metrics at this stage.
