MapleStory Universe has introduced the Alphabet Fusion event, allowing Explorers to submit Alphabet, Number, and Name Length NFTs to complete a Collection Board. This event provides an opportunity for participants to earn NXPC rewards based on their contributions to filling the board. The event encourages collaboration among players, as they work together to complete the designated slots and receive rewards.

Released in 2003, MapleStory was a massive success, garnering over 260 million players worldwide during its run. This deep connection with gamers, many of whom still hold fond memories of the game, provides MapleStory N with a unique competitive edge in attracting players to the web3 gaming space. The game will primarily target this nostalgic audience, according to Sunyoung Hwang, CEO of Nexpace.
Explorers can take part in the event by submitting their Make Special Name NFTs to the Collection Board. Each NFT contributed to the board is counted equally, meaning that all Alphabet, Number, and Name Length NFTs hold the same value. For every NFT submitted, participants will receive one NXPC. The Collection Board consists of 39 slots, which must be completely filled in order for rewards to be distributed. Once all slots are occupied, NXPC rewards are automatically calculated based on the contributions made. Participants will qualify for rewards as soon as the board reaches completion.
During the event, submitted NFTs remain locked on the Collection Board but can be withdrawn at any time before the board is fully completed. Once the board is filled, all submitted NFTs are permanently removed, and a new round of the event begins. The amount of NXPC rewards earned by each participant is recorded automatically, and rewards will be distributed during the upcoming NXPC airdrop period.
MapleStory Universe Value Proposition
The Alphabet Fusion event will take place from March 17, 2025, at 05:00 UTC to March 24, 2025, at 04:59 UTC. Any Explorer who possesses at least one Alphabet, Number, or Name Length NFT is eligible to participate. However, Facewallet users are not able to take part in the event. Those using Facewallet and wishing to join are encouraged to check the FAQ section for guidance.
The Make Special Name features will be discontinued after March 31, 2025, at 04:59 UTC. Any names that have been reserved but not yet minted by that time will be automatically minted and sent to the respective wallet addresses. After the discontinuation, Alphabet, Number, and Name Length NFTs will no longer be functional on the Make Special Name webpage. Additional details about these changes can be found in the official event announcement.
MapleStory Universe Alphabet Fusion Event
The MapleStory Collection Board is designed with 39 predefined slots, which must be filled in order to complete the board. There are 26 slots for Alphabet NFTs, covering letters A to Z, 10 slots for Number NFTs from 0 to 9, and 3 slots designated for Name Length NFTs representing lengths of 4, 5, and 6 characters. The status of each slot is updated in real time, displaying the participants and their contributions.
Explorers can submit their NFTs into any available slot, with each submission remaining locked until the board is fully completed. NFTs are not burned upon submission, and participants can withdraw them at any time before all 39 slots are filled. Once the board is complete, the submitted NFTs are permanently removed, and the amount of NXPC rewards for each participant is finalized. A new round of the Collection Board begins once the previous one is completed, allowing for continued participation.

To join the event, Explorers must connect their wallets to the Make Special Name webpage. By navigating to the Alphabet Fusion tab, they can view the current status of the Collection Board. To submit an NFT, they need to double-click on an available slot, select the quantity they wish to submit, and confirm the submission. Once all slots are filled, a completion notification will appear, and participants will be able to view their NXPC reward calculation.
Reward claims will be available during the future NXPC airdrop period. After completing one Collection Board, participants may choose to continue by joining a new round. All displayed data on the Collection Board during the event is for demonstration purposes only and does not represent actual participation statistics.
