Lumiterra, the web3 multiplayer game, is set to launch its second closed beta test (CBT 2) on November 11, 2024. This phase will run for approximately three weeks, introducing new gameplay features and expanding player accessibility. Key upgrades include enhanced beginner quests, revamped equipment enhancement systems, and multiple new game modes designed to deepen player engagement.
Lumiterra is a free-to-play, cross-platform MMORPG game that combines survival, crafting, exploration, and more. Battle against NPC monsters to level up your character, or tame them for extra help on your farm. Plant seeds, water plants, fertilize soil and harvest the fruits of your labors.
Craft items, trade them with other players, forge alliances with other players to complete quests, and use RON as an in-game currency in CBT. The Lumiterra ecosystem has a lot going on from in-game items to NFTs to a DeFi protocol called Lumi Finance. Whether you’re looking for a fun game or a novel web3 experience, there are many experiences for a variety of player archetypes.
In Lumiterra, players roam free in an open world filled with challenges and opportunities. Your character will level up over time as you gain more experience in three specializations: combat, agriculture, and gathering. Fight monsters to gain combat EXP, tame them to gain agriculture EXP, and so on.
Players who specialize in combat can battle their way towards more powerful weapons – like swords instead of fists. Those who specialize in agriculture skills can become more efficient farmers who then produce more resources. Resources are the key to crafting better items from equipment to weapons to materials and more.
Lumiterra Closed Beta Test Brings New Features and Big Rewards
CBT 2 access is available to specific players, including:
Those who do not meet these criteria can still gain access by completing specific whitelist challenges. Details on these challenges can be found on Lumiterra's Discord server, where updates will be regularly posted.
1. Upgraded Equipment Enhancement and Enhanced Lottery
Lumiterra’s latest equipment enhancement features allow players to elevate their gameplay by upgrading all gear above Level 1, offering a new layer of vertical progression. With each enhancement, players are entered into the Enhanced Lottery, where they have the chance to win 70% of the prize pool, funded by fees from other players’ enhancements. This lottery incentivizes continuous equipment improvement as a viable strategy for progression.
2. Expanded Dungeon System with Centennial Trials
The dungeon system now includes six difficulty levels, allowing players to earn higher scores and claim more rewards based on their performance. The Centennial Trials, a new dungeon, features nine levels with ten stages each and a prize pool that refreshes every 30 minutes. Players can complete daily challenges to access special rewards, with the potential to earn resources critical for enhancing equipment.
3. Escort Slime: New Open-World, Team-Based PvP Mode
Lumiterra introduces the Escort Slime event, a team-based PvP game mode where players work together to protect a Slime character from enemy attacks. Teams must coordinate effectively to defend and guide the Slime safely through various obstacles, with rewards awarded for successful missions and for defeating opposing teams. There are three Slime types — Emerald, Aqua, and Golden — each with unique challenges and reward opportunities.
4. Enhanced Onboarding for New Players
In CBT 2, Lumiterra has revamped its onboarding process, making it easier for new players to get started. Newcomers will now interact with three NPC guides — Gunner, Nash, and Hsaki — who introduce players to essential gameplay elements like combat, crafting, upgrading, and navigating dungeons. This updated system aims to improve the initial player experience and help new players integrate more seamlessly into the game.
CBT 2 builds on feedback from the first beta test and reflects Lumiterra’s commitment to fostering an engaging experience. By introducing fresh content and accessibility improvements, the developers aim to stress-test their systems and further refine gameplay. With expanded participation, this phase offers both returning and new players the chance to explore Lumiterra’s evolving world.
