Infold Games’ mobile dating simulator Love and Deepspace has reached its second anniversary while approaching $1 billion in lifetime player spending. Since its global release on January 18, 2024, the game has seen steady growth in both revenue and player engagement, becoming the company’s most lucrative mobile title. According to AppMagic estimates, Love and Deepspace has generated $933.7 million from the App Store and Google Play combined, with its second year proving more profitable than the first.

The game earned $43.2 million in its first 30 days and went on to make $410 million in its first year, followed by $522.6 million in the second year, representing a 27% increase year-over-year. Daily active users and player spending both rose by more than 20% in the second year, highlighting sustained interest across global markets.

How Infold Built a Leading Mobile Experience

Developed by a team of around 500, Love and Deepspace combines romance, sci-fi storytelling, photorealistic character design, and interactive dating gameplay. The game has resonated particularly with a female audience, and its commercial success made it one of the most prominent mobile releases of 2024. In China, it ranked second in revenue for the year behind Nexon and Tencent’s Dungeon & Fighter: Mobile.

Within Infold’s portfolio, Love and Deepspace has overtaken titles such as Mr Love, Love Nikki, Shining Nikki, and Infinity Nikki in lifetime player spending. Its mix of visual storytelling and gacha mechanics has created a high level of engagement while maintaining consistent monetization.

Global Reach and Market Performance

China accounts for the majority of revenue, contributing 60% of total player spending, followed by the United States at 13% and Japan at 9%. The game has reached the top of the App Store grossing charts in over 40 countries and regions, including North America, Japan, the UK, and China. Lifetime downloads surpassed 80 million, with China again leading at 41% of installs, and the US and Japan representing 7% and 5%, respectively.

Infold noted that daily active users increased by more than 20% year-over-year, demonstrating ongoing momentum and engagement across international markets.

Anniversary Events and Updates

To celebrate the second anniversary, Infold hosted both in-game and real-world events. In Manhattan, New York, the Lavan 541 venue was transformed into a sci-fi exhibition from January 16 to 18, allowing fans to view themed displays, meet life-size chibi characters, and explore visuals inspired by the game.

In-game celebrations coincided with the release of version 5.0, which added new main story content and the Throne of Eros gacha banner. The banner featured characters such as Rafayel, Sylus, and Caleb, offering additional narrative and gameplay content for players.

Approaching the $1 Billion Milestone

With nearly $934 million in revenue, Love and Deepspace is on track to join the mobile gaming industry’s “unicorn” tier. Its combination of narrative-driven gameplay, gacha monetization, and international reach positions it as a key title in Infold Games’ lineup. As mobile gaming continues to integrate web3-adjacent experiences and live-service updates, Love and Deepspace demonstrates the potential for dating simulators to achieve sustained global success.
