This initiative marks a significant step into blockchain technology for the conglomerate, which operates over 90 businesses across retail, chemicals, food, financial services, and entertainment.
Lotte Caliverse is designed to provide users with a next-generation metaverse-like experience, leveraging Epic Games Unreal Engine 5 for its 3D visuals. The platform allows users to shop at virtual stores, attend live music concerts, play interactive games, and even create their own virtual worlds in the future. Through integration with the Arbitrum Layer 2 Ethereum blockchain, the platform ensures high-speed, seamless on-chain transactions and latency-free interactions.
Arbitrum has established itself as a leading blockchain solution, favored for its performance, scalability, and ecosystem. In 2024, the Arbitrum Gaming ecosystem saw remarkable growth, with a 72% increase in active titles and an expanding network of proprietary Orbit chains.
