Line Next, a division of Line, one of Asia's prominent messaging companies, has unveiled its second web3 game, Sweet Monster Guardians, on its gaming platform, Game Dosi. This innovative game seamlessly integrates non-fungible tokens (NFTs) into its gameplay, drawing inspiration from the beloved South Korean character brand, Sweet Monster. Notably, the global release of Sweet Monster Guardians excludes South Korea, Japan, and China.

Line Next, headquartered in Seongham, South Korea, is dedicated to developing and expanding the non-fungible token (NFT) ecosystem. Sweet Monster Guardians is a web-based strategic defense game, offering a seamless gaming experience directly on PCs and mobile devices without the need for a separate client download. The game combines NFTs with the existing mobile game of Sweet Monster, a successful Korean character brand known for character licensing and dessert franchise businesses.

Within the whimsical universe of Sweet Monster Guardians, players assume the role of Sweet Monsters, messengers of happiness, united to protect their town from unforeseen incidents. Players have the option to choose from various gameplay strategies, including deploying character cards to engage enemies, merging identical cards to enhance their skills, and participating in real-time battles against other players through multiplayer mode.

To celebrate the game's launch, Line Next is rewarding existing Sweet Monster NFT holders with valuable in-game items. Players can now link their purchased NFTs to their in-game profiles, gaining a significant power boost. Moreover, NFTs specific to Sweet Monster Guardians will be available for purchase starting on October 6 through the Game Dosi platform.

In addition to Sweet Monster Guardians, Line Next has introduced an alpha test for its first in-house title from the Project GD IP. This alpha test, running until October 19, features a trading card game where players collect digital cards and engage in one-on-one matches against opponents.

During the alpha test phase, holders of Game Dosi Membership NFTs will receive complimentary NFTs that can be utilized for in-game items. Additionally, users who report game bugs will be rewarded with NFTs as a token of appreciation for their contributions.

Line Next is actively pursuing expansion in the web3 gaming sector, with plans to launch various games in the near future. The company's overarching goal is to establish a game-centric platform through Game Dosi, enabling users to enjoy web3 games while fostering a community where digital goods can be freely owned and traded.

Line Next comprises two entities: Line Next Corporation, based in South Korea, focusing on global NFT platform strategy and planning, and Line Next Inc., located in the United States, dedicated to developing and operating a non-fungible token (NFT) platform business. This development marks a significant stride for the NFT firm Line Next, operating from both Korea and the United States.
