Wemade launched its latest MMORPG, Legend of Ymir, in South Korea on February 20th and the game quickly became the most downloaded title on Google Play. This achievement follows the success of the company’s other web3-enabled MMORPG, Night Crows, which has reportedly generated $200 million in lifetime revenue. By building on the foundation of its predecessor, Wemade aims to further expand its presence in the web3 gaming industry.

Legend of Ymir is developed using Unreal Engine 5, offering high-quality graphics and an immersive gameplay experience optimized for mobile platforms. The game also incorporates Wemix blockchain technology, introducing a new economic system based on Non-Fungible Items (NFI). Unlike traditional NFTs, NFI ensures the authenticity, rarity, and security of in-game assets by assigning each item a unique identification number and recording its ownership history and creation date on the blockchain. This approach is designed to prevent duplication and manipulation while reducing speculative pricing within the in-game economy.
Set in a Norse mythology-inspired world, Legend of Ymir offers an open-world MMORPG experience with real-time player-versus-player (PVP) and player-versus-environment (PVE) battles. The game features skill-based combat mechanics and dungeon exploration, providing a dynamic and competitive gameplay environment.
Due to the overwhelming demand at launch, Wemade expanded its server capacity to accommodate more players, increasing the total number of servers to 18. To mark the game’s early success, the company is rewarding players with exclusive in-game items, including Mani’s Valkyrie summoning ticket, Mani’s Disir summoning ticket, and silver coins. These items are designed to enhance the player experience and provide additional incentives for early adopters.
With Legend of Ymir achieving the top position on Google Play in South Korea shortly after its release, Wemade continues to strengthen its position in the MMORPG and web3 gaming market. By combining high-end visuals, blockchain-based asset management, and engaging gameplay mechanics, the game has generated significant interest among mobile gamers. As the player base continues to grow, Wemade is expected to introduce further updates and features to support the long-term development of the game. Players can find more information about the Legend of Ymir on their official website.
