Last Remains, the competitive stealth shooter set in a zombie-infested world, has unveiled exciting plans for the upcoming months. The announcements include the introduction of a mobile-based mini-game, an item bridge connecting Epic Store accounts to the Polygon blockchain, and the initiation of recurring bi-weekly public alpha playtests, all set to kick off in January.
Unlike typical zombie games that either focus on single-player experiences or emphasize teamwork, Last Remains distinguishes itself as a competitive first-person shooter (FPS). Players not only engage in battles with each other but must do so quietly to avoid attracting the attention of the zombie hordes. Featuring both player versus player (PVP) and player versus environment (PvE) elements in a dark, fog-shrouded world across a vast, intricately detailed map, Last Remains aims to establish its presence in the realm of web3 zombie shooters.
The new mobile mini-game, titled "Search and Rescue," was scheduled for release on January 16th. Players can merge their Last Remains characters with a minimum of three item skins, engaging in a competition to discover the most potent combinations. Rewards for successful players include NFTs and tokens. Also on January 16th, Last Remains opened up their bridge. This bridge will allow players to transfer items between their Epic Games accounts and the Polygon blockchain.
However, the highlight of the announcement revolves around the bi-weekly public alpha tests, each lasting 24 hours. The first test is slated for January 20th, with the specific time yet to be disclosed. Although details about rewards for participating in the alpha tests remain undisclosed, the gameplay itself promises an enjoyable experience for participants.
What to learn more about Last Remains?
Last Remains is a unique battle royale game set in a city overrun by zombies. Players employ stealth and strategic thinking to navigate the 3D environment without falling victim to zombies or other players.
The game offers free-to-play characters alongside character NFTs, acting as a gateway to the game's battle pass at a cost of $30 each. Notably, character NFTs are season-based and can only be utilized during a specific season. Following that period, players can stake them in the 'Search and Rescue' game to earn rewards.
In addition to regular character NFTs, Last Remains has introduced Genesis Character NFTs. Limited to a supply of under 10,000 items, these serve as lifetime battle passes and in-game skins for their owners. Premium character battle pass items can also be traded on the marketplace.
Players have various avenues to acquire items, including the battle pass system, leaderboard achievements, and potential participation in tournaments and events. For more information on Last Remains, visit their game page on our website here.
