Land of Prosperity Opens Closed Beta

ONPlay Studio has officially launched the closed beta of Land of Prosperity, allowing a limited number of web3 gamers to test the browser-based strategy game on the BNB Chain testnet.

The closed beta is designed to provide players with an early experience of the game’s core features while also gathering feedback to refine gameplay and economic systems before the mainnet release. Players who participate have the opportunity to earn in-game rewards and mint NFTs as they explore the game.

Play-to-Own Strategy Game

Land of Prosperity (LOP) is a play-to-own strategy game centered around personal land blocks, each represented as an NFT. Every player receives a 16x16 plot that serves as the foundation of gameplay. These plots come in Tropical, Desert, or Ice variants, which influence the efficiency of certain items. Each land block also has a rarity level, ranging from Common to Special Super Rare, which affects terrain flatness, yields, and item placement flexibility.

Players build structures, plant trees, place water items, and manage other resources to increase production of Point, the in-game utility token. Loot Boxes, which contain land, buildings, or items, provide additional resources. Boxes come in multiple categories such as Tree or Water Boxes and in three tiers: Starter, Standard, and Premium. The higher-tier boxes offer a greater chance of receiving rare and powerful assets.

The game incorporates a durability system for land blocks. As blocks produce Point, their durability declines, and when it reaches zero, production stops until players burn items or buildings to restore functionality. Items themselves have rarity levels and can be upgraded by merging three identical NFTs, although upgrades can fail, removing the NFTs from circulation. ONPlay Studio also plans future updates to include weather and time effects that match real-world conditions, affecting Point generation and gameplay strategy.

Land of Prosperity Closed Beta

Access to the closed beta is limited to 50,000 players through whitelisting or referral links. Whitelisted users receive early entry and a free Land Block that could include an Uncommon or Rare plot, while players who join via referral links will receive Common Blocks when the game launches on mainnet.

Whitelist spots were distributed through participation in official campaigns, community events, and the ONProver program. Holders of ONtegrity NFTs who owned the asset before the snapshot dates of November 17 and November 20 were also eligible. Some streamer communities offered limited entry through their own whitelisting forms.

BNB Chain Testnet and Tokens

Once players join the beta, they connect their wallet to the BNB Chain testnet and mint a free Land Block using test tokens (tBNB) from the official testnet faucet. Each whitelisted user receives ten referral links to share with other players. Players then construct their land, placing buildings and items to optimize Point production. Moving or removing items costs Point, making strategic placement important. Synergy between structures and terrain type also affects overall yields.

Daily and one-time tasks in the closed beta reward players with Loot Boxes to help accelerate progression. Points earned from land production can be spent on new Loot Boxes, which can be minted as NFTs and traded. Players can also withdraw their minted items and Land Blocks to the blockchain, allowing for external marketplace trading. A storage system limits accumulated Point, pausing production once the cap is reached until rewards are claimed. Progress can be saved using a dedicated save function.

The closed beta aims to collect feedback on gameplay balance, economic systems, and the user interface. ONPlay Studio has emphasized that community input is critical for fine-tuning the game ahead of its full release.

Orochi Network Programs

Players must hold a whitelist spot or receive a referral link to join the closed beta. Whitelist eligibility was based on engagement in community events, social campaigns, and Orochi Network programs. Browser-based access requires connecting a wallet on the BNB Chain testnet and minting a Land Block with tBNB tokens from the faucet.

Whitelisted participants receive Uncommon or Rare blocks during the beta, while referral-based entries receive Common Blocks at mainnet launch. After setup, players can start constructing their land, generating Point, completing tasks, and exploring the game’s NFT minting and withdrawal systems.

At this time, ONPlay Studio has not shared details on potential tester rewards, the duration of the beta, or the launch date for the project’s $LOP token. The closed beta serves as a testing phase where early players can influence the game’s development through feedback.
