South Korean blockchain company Kaia has signed a partnership agreement with Taiwan Mobile to support the adoption of web3 in Taiwan. The collaboration, conducted through the Kaia DLT Foundation, focuses on the development of products that comply with both fiat and digital asset regulations. The partnership aims to establish foundational decentralized finance (DeFi) infrastructure that can be utilized by app developers to build web3 applications.

As part of the agreement, Kaia and Taiwan Mobile will prioritize regulatory compliance while promoting web3 adoption. This approach aims to facilitate the use of Kaia assets and other blockchain services while maintaining a consistent and reliable user experience.

Dr. Sam Seo, chairman of the Kaia Foundation, highlighted the potential of the Taiwan market, stating, “Taiwan is one of the most promising web3 markets in APAC, and we are collaborating with Taiwan Mobile to build a solid web3 infrastructure here. Leveraging the strengths of Taiwan Mobile and TWEX, we will promote compliant web3-powered deposit and withdrawal solutions, accelerating the adoption of Kaia assets and blockchain services while ensuring a more reliable yet convenient web3 user experience.”

Expanding Blockchain via Mini Dapps

Kaia is also promoting the adoption of blockchain-based games through its integration with Line Next’s Mini Dapp platform. The platform has previously hosted successful game launches, including Slime Miner and Ragnarok Libre by Delabs Games. By leveraging the Mini Dapp platform, Kaia intends to make simple blockchain games more accessible to a wider audience, contributing to broader engagement with web3 technologies in Taiwan.

Taiwan Mobile Vice President Luke Han stated that combining Kaia’s blockchain technology with Taiwan Mobile’s market presence can help lower barriers to entry and expand infrastructure. “Together we share the same mission: to reduce barriers while strengthening compliance and user safety. By combining our strengths, we aspire to set a new benchmark for web3,” he said.
