Infinite Fleet's Expanded Closed Beta is now live, marking a significant milestone with its transition to free-to-play.
In a significant move towards a more accessible gaming experience, Infinite Fleet has announced the launch of the Expanded Closed Beta phase, marking the first stage of a shift to a fully free-to-play model.
Players may notice several changes in the game, such as the graphical overhaul of space stations. These visible changes are just the tip of the iceberg, as the team behind Infinite Fleet has been busy re-architecting the server infrastructure and services behind the scenes. These optimizations aim to support an increased player base, allowing the game to remove limits on new player registrations. New players will be given access to free ships, facilitating a smoother initiation into the gaming experience.
As Infinite Fleet steps into the Expanded Closed Beta phase, the developers are relying on player participation to test the new server infrastructure. The goal is to ensure game stability even with large numbers of players, before fully opening the doors to a public, free-to-play model. If any issues arise during this phase, measures such as limiting the number of new players or temporarily halting free-to-play signups may be implemented.
In addition to these significant updates, Infinite Fleet has also introduced Daily Login Rewards. Players will receive a free Silver Container each day they log in, offering a chance to earn USF Credits, ship equipment, resources, or weapons. Consistency is rewarded in Infinite Fleet: players who open six Silver Containers consecutively will be given a bonus Gold Container on the seventh day, which contains high-rarity weapons and equipment.
Alongside the launch of the Expanded Closed Beta, Infinite Fleet is also introducing a series of in-game events and unveiling new star systems. Players can boost their ranks and earn USF Credits and, for those at Commander Levels 21 and above, Excellium by destroying Atrox ships in specific locations. These sequential events are designed to keep players engaged, and updates and leaderboard news will be regularly shared on the game's social media platforms.
Infinite Fleet is committed to continuous improvement and enhancing player experience. As they move forward with the development of new features, the team encourages player feedback to ensure that the game evolves according to user preferences and expectations.
