Illuvium's highly anticipated Overworld Private Beta 2 has launched, bringing an expansive universe, teeming with new challenges, creatures, and exploration opportunities. Players can look forward to meeting 10 new Illuvial lines, engaging with the enigmatic Morphopods, experiencing the exhilarating Overload mechanic, and journeying through uncharted territories including the Abyssal Basin and Brightland Steppes.

10 new Illuvial lines have been introduced, each possessing unique skills that challenge players in both Overworld and Arena battles. Among the newcomers are the agile Monkey Rogue, the mighty Polar Bear, Tiktaalik, Tenrec, Monkey Fighter, Monkey Empath, Komodo Dragon, Terror Bird, Penguin, and Squid Line (Stage 1 only).

The Overload mechanic introduces a vital gameplay element emphasizing strategic energy management. Players' drones, once using enough Ergon, will cause the region's Obelisk to overload, potentially causing fatal energy waves.

The new Abyssal Basin, located in the southern part of the map, is a daunting region filled with bioluminescent swamplands and ominous Illuvials. Conversely, the Brightland Steppes offers a vibrant, vegetation-rich environment full of exploration opportunities and elusive Illuvials.

The Arena has received significant updates, including a major overhaul to all Illuvials, aiming to provide more distinct archetypes and skillsets. Synergies have been simplified to improve the player experience and broaden viable team compositions. Other enhancements include improved Overload and Hyper Overlay features, improved Survival AI, VFX, SFX, models, animations, and textures, and connection and reconnection improvements.
