Illuvium Beyond, the collectible NFT card game in the Illuvium ecosystem, will begin its Wave 4 launch on May 20. In addition, players can access 25 exclusive Illuvitars that are only obtainable during Wave 4. Each of these exclusive Illuvitars comes in three different Expressions and three different Backgrounds, contributing to the collection’s diversity.

These new items can be acquired through containers called D1SKs. Opening a D1SK provides five randomly selected items. The items are distributed using a system of weighted randomness that takes into account various Illuvitar attributes such as tier, stage, expression, finish, background tier, and background stage. Tier 0 backgrounds do not appear on random Illuvitars. The structure and distribution of Wave 4 remain consistent with the overall design of Set 1, although exclusive content for Wave 4 follows its own distribution logic.

D1SKs, Power Scores, and $ILV Tokens

Players can choose from several types of D1SKs. The Standard D1SK, priced at 499 FUEL, includes one random Illuvitar, three random Accessories, and one bonus Tier 0 Illuvitar. The Mega D1SK, which costs 2999 FUEL, contains one random Illuvitar, three random Accessories, and one guaranteed Rare Illuvitar. This Rare Illuvitar is characterized by a Power Score of over 1450 Solar Power, placing it in the top 8.5 percent of all Illuvitars. It is estimated that players would need to open around 12 Standard D1SKs to obtain an Illuvitar with similar power.

Power Scores are used to determine the number of points each Illuvitar contributes to a player’s Album. These scores are based on a combination of the base stats of the Illuvitar, the rarity of its background, and the impact of any Accessories applied. The cumulative Power Score helps players climb the leaderboard, which in turn provides an opportunity to earn $ILV tokens as part of the game’s collect-to-earn mechanism.

Alpha Sale and Limited Edition D1SKs

Alongside the regular D1SK offerings, Wave 4 introduces two limited-edition D1SK types available only during a special Alpha Sale. These are the Standard Alpha D1SK, priced at 999 FUEL, and the Mega Alpha D1SK, which costs 8999 FUEL. The Alpha D1SKs do not offer gameplay advantages but are intended to support personal and community stretch goals. Each D1SK from this sale includes a visual Alpha symbol on the Illuvitars it contains, indicating its unique origin.

The Standard Alpha D1SK grants three stretch goal points and is limited to 2500 units, while the Mega Alpha D1SK provides 27 points and has a supply cap of 1000 units. The Alpha Sale begins at the same time as the Extended Sale but will only be open for 24 hours or until the supply limit is reached.
