HYTOPIA's New $125K Creator Fund

HYTOPIA announces a $125,000 Creator Fund offering milestone grants, development support, and revenue sharing for web3 game studios. Applications now open for qualified teams.

HYTOPIA has launched a Creator Fund aimed at supporting web3 game developers with milestone-based financial assistance and hands-on development support. The program will provide up to $125,000 in non-dilutive grants for selected studios building flagship titles on HYTOPIA’s platform. The initiative reflects HYTOPIA’s continued effort to attract experienced creators and expand its blockchain gaming ecosystem.

Each participating studio can receive up to $25,000, distributed across five development milestones. These stages include concept approval, closed beta, open beta, public release, and final project completion. The funding is non-dilutive, meaning studios retain full ownership of their intellectual property and are not required to give up equity in exchange for support.

In addition to financial assistance, HYTOPIA offers direct access to its engineering team through a private communication channel, enabling studios to resolve technical issues efficiently during the development process. Studios accepted into the Creator Fund will also receive marketing support through HYTOPIA’s go-to-market team.

This includes assistance with product launches, promotional efforts, and visibility across HYTOPIA’s platform and social media channels. The program includes a 75/25 revenue split model, with 75 percent of revenue from both primary and secondary sales going directly to the development teams. Developers maintain full control of their game content and intellectual property under this arrangement.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

The Creator Fund is open to development teams that meet specific experience requirements. To be considered, applicants must have released at least one game with more than 10 million plays on Roblox or over 100,000 downloads on mobile platforms. Teams must include at least one 3D modeler, one animator, and one developer with experience in JavaScript or TypeScript. Developers who are new to TypeScript are still eligible to apply, provided they meet the other criteria.

HYTOPIA plans to work with five to ten studios during a focused three-month development period. The goal is to launch a group of flagship experiences that demonstrate the capabilities of the HYTOPIA platform. Studios are expected to complete their projects within twelve weeks, although extensions can be requested if needed. If a team misses two milestone deadlines, it may become ineligible for further grant payments.

This structure is designed to encourage consistent progress while allowing flexibility for unforeseen development delays. Studios interested in participating can apply through HYTOPIA’s Creator Fund portal. Eligible applicants will be contacted within 48 to 72 hours after submitting their applications. Selected teams will be required to complete a one-time identity verification process before receiving their first grant payment.

Tools and Platform Features for Developers

HYTOPIA provides a suite of development tools intended to support both novice and experienced creators. The platform includes a no-code editor, 3D creation tools, and a software development kit for more advanced workflows. Games can be deployed instantly and shared through direct links, supporting cross-platform accessibility on web, desktop, and mobile devices.

HYTOPIA’s system also offers built-in hosting, APIs, and backend services, reducing the need for external infrastructure. Developers can utilize AI-powered tools, real-time visual effects, and logic systems for building quests and interactive experiences. As part of the program, HYTOPIA encourages studios to document and share their development progress with the broader community.

This includes publishing development logs, conducting early-stage testing, and sharing updates on social media platforms. The goal is to promote transparency, generate interest ahead of launch, and gather feedback from players. This open development model aligns with HYTOPIA’s long-term objective of building a collaborative and creator-focused ecosystem.
