Haunted Space, a blockchain-based game developed by Galaxy Lab, is set to launch on PlayStation and Xbox, marking a significant step toward integrating web3 technology into mainstream gaming. Built on the Avalanche blockchain, Haunted Space combines fast-paced spaceship battles with sci-fi horror elements, offering players a visually immersive and dynamic experience. As one of the first blockchain games to reach major gaming consoles, it represents a growing shift toward web3 adoption in the gaming industry.
Haunted Space Brings Web3 to PlayStation and Xbox
By utilizing Avalanche, Haunted Space enables true asset ownership, allowing players to possess in-game items such as spaceships, skins, and weapons. This integration supports a more interactive and player-driven economy, ensuring greater engagement through secure and transparent transactions. Avalanche’s high-speed, low-latency infrastructure provides a seamless gaming experience without compromising security or efficiency. The ability to maintain fast-paced gameplay while incorporating blockchain elements highlights the network’s suitability for modern gaming applications.
Galaxy Lab has also introduced Polaris AI, an advanced artificial intelligence platform designed to enhance the gaming experience. Polaris AI features multiple tools, including Polaris Coach, which provides real-time gameplay analysis and personalized coaching. By leveraging screen monitoring and player behavior insights, the AI offers dynamic strategies and tips to help players improve their performance.
Another key component of Polaris AI is Polaris Accessibility, which focuses on making gaming more inclusive for players with disabilities. Supported by grants from Microsoft and Epic Games, this tool enables users to adjust game interactions based on individual needs. Whether addressing visual, motor, or auditory challenges, Polaris Accessibility provides modular customization options that allow players to fine-tune controls and interface elements, ensuring a tailored and accessible gaming experience.
Haunted Space is currently in closed beta, allowing early testers to experience its blockchain-driven and AI-enhanced features before the official release. Galaxy Lab is also working on expanding Polaris AI’s capabilities to other games, aiming to bring its innovative approach to a broader gaming audience.
With the upcoming launch on PlayStation and Xbox, Haunted Space is positioned at the forefront of web3 gaming’s transition into mainstream entertainment. By combining Avalanche’s high-performance blockchain with advanced AI tools, the game sets a precedent for future developments in web3 gaming, demonstrating how blockchain technology can enhance both ownership and accessibility within the industry.
