The alpha test will begin at 10 AM UTC on June 5 and conclude at 10 PM UTC on June 8. This four-day window will allow players in the blockchain and web3 gaming communities to test the game on PC at no cost. The testing period is intended to offer early access to the game's mechanics while also giving players the opportunity to compete for a position on the leaderboard.

Haunted Space Arena is a free-to-play space combat shooter developed in Unreal Engine 5. It is part of a larger gaming ecosystem being developed by Galaxy Lab, which also includes a single-player game and a mobile mini-game available through Telegram. The mobile game has been part of recent airdrop campaigns linked to the ecosystem’s token generation event.

Although the current alpha release focuses on the Free for All mode, the full version of the game is planned to include multiple PvP modes. These will be introduced over time, starting with Team Deathmatch in either Q2 or Q3 of 2025. Other modes in development include Collect the Orb, which involves team-based gameplay centered around chasing a moving target in space, and Dominion, a control-point mode where teams compete to hold strategic areas on the map.

Early Gameplay and Leaderboard Competition

The public alpha will feature a Free for All game mode, which appears to consist of 10-minute matches where players compete for points by eliminating opponents. The exact number of participants per match has not been confirmed, but early footage suggests that the gameplay involves space-based combat among debris that can be used strategically during battle. Players will have access to different spacecraft options, each with unique characteristics such as shield levels and health points. Each ship includes a primary and secondary weapon, as well as a limited supply of missiles.

While the alpha does not include token or NFT-based rewards, players who finish in the top 10 on the final leaderboard will receive entry into an upcoming KOL Tournament. This tournament is expected to offer large prize pools, although specific details and timing have not yet been released.

According to the official development roadmap, Haunted Space Arena is scheduled to enter public beta in Q3 2025. Players will eventually be able to own and trade NFT-based battleships with unique visual characteristics, made available through an in-game marketplace.

In parallel with game development, Galaxy Lab has been active in community and marketing efforts. In May, the studio launched a user-generated content campaign valued at over $100,000. The $GAGA token, initially planned for a late May release, has been delayed and is now expected to launch in June, though an exact date has not been announced.
