The Phoenix is one of five pets introduced in Roblox's Grow a Garden Fairy Update, which was released on September 6, 2025. Classified as a Divine pet, the Phoenix is among the rarest companions available in the game. Its rarity and unique abilities make it a significant addition for players who want to expand their collection and strengthen their gardens.

How to Obtain the Phoenix

The Phoenix can only be acquired from the Enchanted Chest. It has a one percent chance of appearing from this chest, which makes it tied with the Aetherfruit seed as the least likely item to be obtained. Players who want to secure this pet will need to focus on obtaining Enchanted Chests, which are available through two methods.

The first method is tied to the Fairy World, which becomes accessible during the Fairy Event through a Fairy Ring portal. Inside this area, players will find the Luminous Sprite near the center of the Fairy World. Once enough fairies have been caught to unlock the option, the Luminous Sprite will sell the Enchanted Chest in exchange for 15,000 Fairy Points.

The second method involves crafting an Enchanted Chest on the normal island. The green fairy crafting table, which is located near the Fairy Godmother at the island’s center, allows players to create the chest. Crafting requires one Sunbulb, one Enchanted Seed Pack, one Enchanted Egg, and 6,000 Fairy Points. For many players, this method may be more consistent since it relies on gathering resources rather than event progression.

What the Phoenix Does

Once obtained, the Phoenix provides a distinct set of abilities that set it apart from other pets in Grow a Garden. Every seven minutes, the Phoenix applies the Flaming Mutation to four random fruits in the garden. While it moves between these fruits, there is also a 21 percent chance that additional nearby fruits will be mutated. This makes the Phoenix particularly valuable for players who want to increase mutation opportunities within their gardens.

In addition to this ability, pets that are obtained through the pet mutation machine gain an extra bonus when the Phoenix is involved. These pets receive one to five additional age points, which provides a small but useful progression advantage.

Although the Phoenix is difficult to obtain due to its low drop rate, its abilities contribute significantly to garden development.
