Genome's arcade game, Hex Hunt, exceeded expectations in both reach and impact over the past two weeks. Originally launched as a casual experience, the game evolved into a widely participated event, registering over 16,000 matches and more than 5,000 cumulative gameplay hours. Players claimed upwards of 2,000 watermelons as part of in-game achievements, and participation peaked during the final championship week.

This event concluded with a distribution of $100,000 in $NOME tokens in prizes, along with additional rewards such as NFTs, elite passes, and branded merchandise. Following this momentum, Genome introduced Hex Hunt: Raiding Parties, a new feature enabling community-driven tournaments that offer a combined prize pool of more than $30,000 in exclusive rewards.

Expansion of the Genome Genesis Council

To support its growing ecosystem and expanding operations, Genome appointed ten new advisors to the Genome Genesis Council. These individuals bring diverse expertise from across crypto trading, NFTs, gaming, and digital growth. Industry-recognized figures such as Sanjay, Waleswoosh, and Vova Sadkov have joined the team, contributing their experience in shaping trends and identifying market shifts. This expansion reflects Genome's commitment to strengthening its strategic capabilities and ensuring a comprehensive approach to platform development and user engagement.

Testnet Milestone and Airdrop Activation

Genome officially surpassed 350,000 unique signups, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing testnet phase. To commemorate this achievement, the platform initiated a token airdrop, enabling users to engage directly with Genome’s core protocol functions. The distributed tokens are integrated across various activities including gameplay, prediction tasks, and competitive events. Participants earn Edge Points through their actions, which contribute toward unlocking further rewards within Genome’s expanding game network and partner ecosystems.

Introduction of 888 Genesis NFTs

As part of its ongoing development efforts, Genome launched the 888 Genesis NFTs, which offer direct benefits at the protocol level. Holders of these NFTs gain early access to $NOME token allocations under preferential conditions, as well as priority participation in upcoming games and platform features. These NFTs are also structured to provide long-term value by ensuring holders receive early access to premium launches and experimental mechanics that may define future interactions on the platform.

Core Infrastructure Updates

Genome’s engineering and product teams completed several key upgrades to enhance the user experience and backend performance. The Rooms feature has been finalized, and a new landing page for Vee Formation was launched alongside a promotional banner. Updates also included resolving issues related to public profile management, implementing a new tournament system, and completing the integration of the Solana SDK, which now allows for direct deposits from the Solana network.

In addition, backend improvements were made to the omnichain logic that underpins Genome’s protocol, aimed at boosting scalability. Other refinements included search engine optimization enhancements, a refreshed design for Hex Hunt badges, a revised profile setup process, and the resolution of a known referral quest issue. A newly updated EVM contract was also deployed and fully integrated into the tournament infrastructure.
