Southern California-based game studio GamePin has unveiled its latest project, Haliens, a blockchain-based mobile game that introduces unprecedented player ownership mechanics. Announced earlier this week by GamePin's CEO and game director, Richard Robledo, Haliens aims to enhance the web3 gaming scene with its profit-sharing model and player engagement strategies.

Profit-Sharing + Data Revenue 

Haliens NFT owners will not only share profits from in-game purchases but will also benefit from the sale of game data. “Very little is spoken about how large game companies are taking in enormous profits by selling game data. Any profits from the sale of Haliens game data by GamePin will qualify for the profit-sharing program for our owners,” said Richard Robledo. He emphasized the company's mission to disrupt traditional gaming business practices and provide tangible financial benefits to players.

Community Integration and Development Involvement

GamePin is committed to viewing Haliens owners as integral members of the development team. NFT owners will receive regular development updates, mentorship opportunities, exclusive merchandise, and invitations to team events.

Set for a Q3 2025 release on iOS and Android, Haliens is a free-to-play open-world adventure featuring in-app purchases. The narrative follows a family of half-human, half-alien characters searching for a lost family member on Earth.

Players aid in this quest and, in return, gain the ability to recreate ecosystems from the Haliens' home planet within the game's persistent environment. “Haliens’ core game mechanic is discovering and simulating sustainable ecosystems from Halienos, the alien planet,” explained Richard Robledo. Players can recreate alien pets and explore how these creatures contribute to spreading plant life, highlighting the game's intricate ecological simulation.

AI and Blockchain Integration

GamePin leverages proprietary AI and blockchain technology to enhance gameplay and production. Robledo believes AI can revolutionize game development, enabling larger and more complex game architectures.
