Our GAM3 Awards, a standout event in web3 gaming, is set for a grand return this December 2023. Excitingly, our panel of judges includes familiar figures from 2022 and new voices spanning various corners of web3 gaming. Among the noteworthy additions are experts from web3 gaming venture capital firms, blockchain and ecosystem specialists, infrastructure partners, and content creators. We're also privileged to have esteemed leaders from the gaming realm and tech giants like Amazon and Google joining our distinguished jury lineup.
We are proud to introduce one of our jury members Michael Metzger. Michael is an award-winning media and tech investment banker with over 25 years of experience. Some of Michael’s notable transactions in the gaming and web3 space include the sale of nWay to Animoca, Echtra Games to Zynga, Spiketrap to Reddit, and Slightly Mad Studios to Codemasters, as well as a large Animoca equity sale to global asset managers and hedge funds. Michael holds five patents in the field of communications and serves as the Chairman and Board Director of the German-American Business Association in Southern California (GABA).

“Getting to know many of the amazing founders and entrepreneurs, investors and public company CEOs and making win-win deals happen.”
2. How do you see the progress made in web3 gaming since last year?
“Game developers focused more on building fun and engagement games that will hopefully see a large player base next year.”
3. What is the most valuable addition web3 brings into gaming, from your perspective, if any?
“Making it easy and transparent to trade unique gaming assets among players.”
4. What is your outlook on 2024 and beyond for web3 gaming?
“As more fun games with web3 components are launching, I hope that we will see a few games that will capture a large audience and make web3 gaming more accessible to the broader consumer base.”
