Our eagerly awaited GAM3 Awards, a significant event in the world of web3 gaming, is set to make a triumphant return this December 2023. We are excited to present our diverse and esteemed panel of judges, which includes familiar faces from 2022 and introduces new voices that represent various aspects of web3 gaming. The recent additions are especially noteworthy, as they encompass prominent figures from web3 gaming venture capital firms, experts in blockchain and ecosystem development, infrastructure partners, content creators, as well as established leaders in the gaming industry and tech giants like Amazon and Google.
We are proud to introduce one of our jury members Hustlepedia. Jonny, aka Hustlepedia, is a Web3 Gaming content creator on the popular YouTube channel Crypto Banter, providing coverage on game, tokens and economies in the space. Hustle is also the founder of This Thing of Ours, a web3 gaming community and Nexus Labs, an on-chain crypto and gaming data platform.
1. What is the most enjoyable part of your role?
“Providing value and guiding my community through the web3 gaming space.”
2. How do you see the progress made in web3 gaming since last year?
“In my opinion Web3 Gaming has made more tangible developments than any other sector in crypto over the last 12 months and it’s not even close. I see this being the biggest industry within crypto in a few short years.”
3. What is the most valuable addition web3 brings into gaming, from your perspective, if any?
“Rewarding gamers with their time, by owning the assets they grind for. Seems like a simple or overblown answer, but if I could go back and monetize my inventories in the Call of Duty franchises, MMORPGs over the years, it would’ve been a gold mine. More so than money, it rewards the players for the time they spend on the game by actually owning what they grind for.”
4. What is your outlook on 2024 and beyond for web3 gaming?
“I think heading into the next “cycle” web3 gaming will be the leader, given the developments over the last 2 years since 2021. I see numerous AAA level games on the horizon and by 2025 we should have experiences that are the likes of some of everyone’s favorite web2 games. Seems far off, but it will happen fast.”
