Our GAM3 Awards, a prominent fixture in the realm of web3 gaming, are making a triumphant return this December 2023. The event's distinguished panel of judges has been unveiled, featuring a mix of familiar figures from 2022 and new representatives spanning various aspects of web3 gaming. Notable newcomers to the panel include experts from web3 gaming venture capital firms, blockchain and ecosystem specialists, infrastructure partners, and content creators, in addition to renowned gaming leaders and tech giants such as Amazon and Google.

We are proud to introduce one of our jury members Brycent, a well-renowned Gaming Content Creator and Streamer for XSET. In April of this year, Esports and gaming lifestyle organization XSET signed Bryce “Brycent” Johnson to its roster. While some esports organizations have experimented with web3 gaming, none have signed a creator dedicated to web3 content. Brycent began building his platform in 2021. The former software engineer turned content creator became prominent in the Axie Infinity community. Later that year, Brycent founded Loot Bolt, a web3-powered social payments system designed to grow communities. By 2022, Brycent signed a deal with Gary Vaynerchuk’s Vaynersports which is still active.

1. What is the most enjoyable part of your role? 

“Creating content that resonates with audiences around the world, and seeing the impact it makes on the lives of others is an unimaginable feeling.”

2. How do you see the progress made in web3 gaming since last year? 

“The games are starting to get better but we still lack a holistic experience to sink numerous hours into. But it's getting there.”

3. What is the most valuable addition web3 brings into gaming, from your perspective, if any? 

“I think the openness of asset ownership is the most impactful piece to the puzzle but that shouldn't come at the expense of gameplay.”

4. What is your outlook on 2024 and beyond for web3 gaming? 

“Play whatever I want to play across all of gaming, and be the change that's needed to see this space impactfully grow.”

The return of our GAM3 Awards in 2023 promises to be a celebration of the web3 gaming industry's growth and innovation. With industry figures like Brycent on the jury, the event is set to recognize excellence in the ever-evolving world of web3 gaming.
