Our GAM3 Awards, a prominent fixture in the realm of web3 gaming, are making a triumphant return this December 2023. The event's distinguished panel of judges has been unveiled, featuring a mix of familiar figures from 2022 and new representatives spanning various aspects of web3 gaming. Notable newcomers to the panel include experts from web3 gaming venture capital firms, blockchain and ecosystem specialists, infrastructure partners, and content creators, in addition to renowned gaming leaders and tech giants such as Amazon and Google.

1. What is the most enjoyable part of your role?

"In my role at Altura, the highlight is definitely meeting new people. This aspect is crucial for our success. I get the chance to discover fresh ideas, games, and technologies in web3. Interacting with game developers and innovators fuels my optimism. Every day brings new advancements in the space, and witnessing these changes firsthand is incredibly motivating."  

2. How do you see the progress made in web3 gaming since last year? 

"The evolution in web3 gaming over the last year has been impressive. We're starting to see the results of long-term development efforts, with games that have been in the works for 2-3 years now coming to life. It's a testament to the fact that quality gaming takes time. I'm confident that we'll continue to see a trend of increasingly sophisticated and enjoyable games in the future."

3. What is the most valuable addition web3 brings into gaming, from your perspective, if any?

"From my perspective, the standout feature of web3 in gaming is the transparency it offers. The ability for players to own their in-game assets is a game-changer. What's particularly appealing to me is the clear visibility of odds for in-game items, especially in loot boxes. This transparency, which was missing earlier, is a significant step towards fairness in gaming."

4. What is your outlook on 2024 and beyond for web3 gaming?

"Looking ahead to 2024 and the years following, I'm highly optimistic about the trajectory of web3 gaming. I believe we're at the dawn of a new era in gaming where the lines between web2 and web3 games will blur, eventually integrating into a cohesive gaming experience. We are still exploring the potential of web3, and I'm excited to see how it will revolutionize the gaming industry."
