Futureverse, a technology company developing infrastructure for the next generation of the internet, has announced a partnership with GameTree, a gamer-focused social application designed to help players connect and discover new games. The partnership introduces GameTree.Pass, a web3 wallet solution aimed at making digital ownership and interoperability accessible to GameTree’s 1.5 million users without requiring them to navigate complex onboarding processes.

The introduction of GameTree.Pass marks a significant development for both companies. GameTree will now exclusively use Futureverse’s Pass technology to integrate a non-custodial wallet system. This system will be made available to existing users and will support all new sign-ups moving forward. GameTree.Pass enables gamers to manage and own digital assets such as in-game items, avatars, and collectibles. These assets will be portable across various gaming platforms, allowing users to carry their profiles and preferences with them regardless of the game they are playing.
According to an interview with GamesBeat Aaron McDonald, CEO of Futureverse, shared that the goal of this integration is to provide a user-friendly tool that supports digital identity and ownership. He noted that GameTree’s active user base and cross-platform capabilities offer the scale needed to bring web3 technology to a broader gaming audience. McDonald emphasized the importance of meeting users within their existing ecosystems and enhancing their experience through accessible digital tools.

John Uke, founder of GameTree, stated that the collaboration goes beyond the technical integration of a wallet. He explained that GameTree.Pass supports the company’s broader goal of building a social hub for gamers, where community engagement and self-expression are central to the user experience. Uke described the new wallet solution as a simple and intuitive way for users to access and manage their digital assets while transitioning smoothly between games.
The companies indicated that the partnership aims to redefine how gamers interact with digital assets and communities. Rather than limiting these assets to individual platforms, the initiative supports a broader vision in which assets are recognized as part of a user’s digital identity. This approach aligns with Futureverse’s broader strategy of building an interconnected digital ecosystem where users can participate across various experiences with consistent ownership.

This collaboration follows Futureverse’s recent acquisition of Candy Digital and its efforts to bring established brands such as Netflix and Major League Baseball into its ecosystem. The partnership with GameTree is part of Futureverse’s continued expansion into areas where web3 infrastructure can enhance digital engagement. The company’s tools span artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital identity, and virtual asset infrastructure, supporting the development of immersive environments, collectibles, and metaverse-based experiences.
In addition to the GameTree partnership, Futureverse recently announced a collaboration with Rakuten Wallet to implement an updated version of RakutenWallet.Pass. This development enables users of Rakuten Wallet to access web3 benefits, including digital ownership and immersive digital experiences, through an upgraded onboarding system.
