Former StepApp CEO Kirill Volgin has announced the upcoming launch of Pixelverse, a narrative-driven battler game set to debut on Raiser in April. The game, which also plans an Alpha release on the Pixelverse Playground, promises an immersive experience within the cyberpunk universe of Xenon.
Pixelverse distinguishes itself by integrating NFT technology, allowing players to engage in narrative-driven PvE quests while collecting rare digital items. Developed by Volgin himself, the game utilizes the Pixelverse SDK and Pixelchain to ensure cost-effective transactions and seamless integration with third-party products.
The gameplay of Pixelverse revolves around collecting rare items to craft bots, which players can then upgrade and merge to create the ultimate battler for the arena. A unique aspect of the game lies in its approach to blockchain gaming earnings, where players are rewarded based on the level of risk they undertake in their competitive endeavors. Players can stake tokens on themselves to win, with the victor claiming all the spoils.
Kirill Volgin, known for his success with StepApp, which generated $3.85 billion in volume within its initial two weeks, expressed his enthusiasm for his latest project. In a statement, Volgin remarked, "This is a brand new milestone for me. StepApp has shown itself to be the only move to earn projects with an active user base, sustainable and growing economy, and offering true innovation, it has been the market leader for a long time."
Volgin has assembled an expert team with extensive experience in the web3 and gaming sectors to aid in the development of Pixelverse. "We are really looking forward to creating a cool game for everyone to play, not just web3 users but gamers with no experience in web3," Volgin added, highlighting the inclusive nature of the project.
Joining the Pixelverse leadership is Mahamadou Cissé, appointed as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Cissé, formerly the strategy director of the collectible NFT card game Cross The Ages (CTA), played a pivotal role in CTA's success, securing backing from 60 VC firms and selling over 30 million digital trading cards. Additionally, Cissé facilitated a collaboration between CTA and Ubisoft, underscoring his expertise in the gaming industry.
Pixelverse aims to captivate players with its blend of immersive storytelling, strategic gameplay, and blockchain integration. With the guidance of Kirill Volgin and the expertise of its development team, Pixelverse sets out to carve its niche in the gaming landscape, appealing to both web3 enthusiasts and traditional gamers alike.
