Uncharted, the team behind the fishing-themed mobile RPG Fishing Frenzy, has announced a new event titled Community Clash. The competition will run from July 17 to July 31 and invites players to form temporary guilds to compete as teams for a share of 10,000 $RON tokens and exclusive in-game pets. Registration is open now and will close on July 16 at 2 AM UTC. Players must sign up ahead of this deadline in order to participate.
Fishing Frenzy Community Clash Tournament
Fishing Frenzy is a browser-based RPG available on both mobile and desktop platforms. The game allows players to catch and cook various types of fish using either off-chain or NFT fishing rods. Progress in the game is tracked through fishing and cooking leaderboards, which offer on-chain lootbox rewards.
The game officially launched in April 2025 as part of the Uncharted Waters campaign on the Ronin network, following several rounds of testing. The current season, titled Season 2: New Horizons, began in June and spans ten weeks, offering expanded rewards and more gameplay opportunities. Players can access the game using a crypto wallet, social sign-in, or by playing as a guest.
Fishing Frenzy Community Clash Tournament
Fishing Frenzy Community Clash is designed to encourage collaborative gameplay. Over the course of two weeks, players will work together in communities - temporary in-game guilds - to earn Fishing, Cooking, and Collector XP. These points are combined to determine a team’s Community Score. The higher the score, the better the chances of earning a portion of the prize pool. To give fishing activities more impact during this tournament, Fishing XP will be counted at twice the normal rate.
The top ten communities will receive rewards, with the highest-ranking team earning 2,500 $RON and a Custom Pet for qualifying players. Second and third place will be awarded 2,000 and 1,500 $RON respectively, along with a Sea Spirit Pet for the top ten contributors in each of those teams. Pets, while not NFTs at this time, function as collectible in-game companions that provide daily fish drops and have varying drop tables. The development team has indicated that pets may become tradable on-chain assets in the future.

To enter the tournament, players must visit the event’s official website before the registration deadline. On the site, users can browse existing communities or create their own. Joining a team requires entering an in-game name and UserID, which can be found in the top left corner of the game screen. Each player is allowed to join only one community for the duration of the event, and once a selection is made, it cannot be changed.
Players who wish to lead their own communities can do so by submitting a team name, description, and optional icon. Community applications are subject to approval, which is typically completed within 24 hours. Each team can include up to 500 members. Once a team is joined or created, players must spend at least one $RON token in the in-game shop to have their XP count toward the competition.

Beyond the tournament rewards, participating in the Community Clash contributes to progress in Season 2. Players can earn NFT lootboxes, referred to as chests, by advancing on weekly leaderboards. These chests contain rod NFTs that may offer a chance to catch Shiny Fish NFTs. In addition, players can accumulate Horizon Points through the battle pass, VIP system, and leaderboard placements. These points are expected to play a role in future token airdrops or other ecosystem-wide rewards.
Spending $RON tokens also increases a player's VIP level, unlocking further benefits that may include Horizon Points or pets. Although spending is required to activate tournament participation, it also ties into the broader play-to-earn mechanics that define Fishing Frenzy’s structure on the Ronin blockchain.
