Chainfood Studio has officially launched its dark fantasy RPG, Evrloot, on Polkadot’s Moonbeam, adopting a free-to-play model aimed at accessibility and player engagement. This browser-based game is designed to introduce players to a rich, immersive world without requiring upfront payments or a web3 wallet. As players progress, they unlock options for integrating blockchain technology, including upgrading their free characters to exclusive NFT 2.0 characters.
Evrloot Launches on Moonbeam with Free-to-Play Model
Evrloot is set in a dark medieval fantasy world, offering a rogue-like and light-MMO experience. A standout feature is its integration of NFTs, specifically soulbound ERC-6220 tokens, which are accessible across multiple ecosystems. These tokens enhance the gaming experience by tying in-game items and characters directly to player progression. At launch, Evrloot introduces several gameplay elements:
Players begin their journey by joining in-game clans, which are tied to the affiliates that introduced them to Evrloot. These clans foster community connections and provide additional points-earning opportunities.
About Evrloot
Chainfood Studio, founded by a group of Polkadot enthusiasts, aims to redefine NFT utility within gaming. The Evrloot community has grown to around 400 NFT owners, with its expansion supported by the game’s unique free-to-play approach. Tobi “Deckard” Amann, CEO of Chainfood Studio, highlighted the vision behind Evrloot, stating:
“Our goal with Evrloot is to create an immersive and thrilling dark fantasy web3 world that prioritizes fun and player enjoyment, transforming the world into a canvas for its players. Through their in-game actions, players shape the story and forge the lore of this world. As RPG enthusiasts, creating a canvas like this has always been our dream – and with Evrloot, we’ve found an exciting and ethical opportunity to bring our vision fully on-chain.”
Sicco Naets, Moonbeam’s Head of Ecosystem Development, also praised Evrloot, emphasizing its potential to reach new audiences: “I am very excited to see Evrloot enter its next growth phase. Chainfood Studio has a very special game in Evrloot with a fiercely loyal community – moving to a free-to-play model will give them a lot more exposure and will allow a lot more players to discover what makes this game so special.”
Keep Your Progress On-Chain
Evrloot’s launch on Moonbeam, a Polkadot-based layer-1 blockchain, reflects Chainfood Studio’s commitment to expanding access to web3 technologies. By eliminating upfront costs and simplifying the onboarding process, the game hopes to attract both blockchain enthusiasts and traditional gamers.
