Developed on the WAX blockchain by Tyranno Studios, Brawlers will be featured on the Epic Games Store alongside blockbuster AAA titles from major publishers like Riot Games, Ubisoft, Rockstar Games, Epic Games, EA, and many others.
Brawlers is the first game from Tyranno Studios, WAX’s dedicated gaming studio, led by Michael Rubinelli, a 25-year veteran of the gaming industry and alumni of Disney, Playdom, Electronic Arts, and THQ. Rubinelli is also often cited as being instrumental in the rise of the Free-to-Play business model that revolutionized gaming.
Brawlers is a PVP card game, previously called Blockchain Brawlers. In the game players can compete in pro-wrestling-style matches, earn $BRWL tokens, and “craft their way to success”. Gamers can use their tokens to craft or purchase more compelling content to greatly enhance their playing experience. Essentially, every item used to play the game (except for the Brawlers) is craftable, usable, and can be sold, traded, or gifted between players.

The game features unique Brawlers, including a limited-edition collection of NFTs, and also features cross-platform functionality via NFT bridges to Polygon, Ethereum, and Binance’s BNB Chain. Additionally, every player who downloads the game will get a complete set of "Free-to-Try" assets so they can check out the game at no cost to them.

Beyond Brawlers, the WAX blockchain has a history of innovation. Collaborations with major brands, such as Sony Pictures, AMC Theatres, Street Fighter, NASCAR, Atari, Funko, Hot Wheels, and Power Rangers, have solidified WAX's position as a pioneer in merging blockchain technology with gaming.
Brawlers' debut on the Epic Games Store represents a notable step in the mainstream adoption of web3 technology within the gaming world. With fairness, inclusivity, and player empowerment at its core, web3 embodies the future of the gaming industry.
