The New Worlds Initiative offers a comprehensive suite of resources to empower web3 gaming creators. Through the program, artists and developers can shape new worlds while retaining intellectual property rights and benefiting from a cross-platform, interoperable economy.
The $ometa token will serve as a shared currency across all participating worlds, and some initiative members will be eligible for grants to accelerate their projects. Emergence also introduced the first members of the New Worlds Initiative, highlighting the diversity of projects it aims to support:

With the New Worlds Initiative, Emergence aims to build a robust ecosystem for creators, enabling collaborative storytelling, world-building, and economic integration. By providing tools, tokenized support, and a framework for interoperability, the initiative aspires to shape a thriving Open Metaverse where creativity and ownership coexist.
Ryan Gill emphasized that the initiative is part of Emergence's larger vision to "collaboratively shape new worlds and economies." By nurturing the first wave of World Producers, the New Worlds Initiative lays the groundwork for an innovative and interconnected metaverse experience.
