The developers of Seraph: In the Darkness have launched the Season 4 Public Test Realm (PTR), giving the web3 gaming community an opportunity to explore upcoming features before the official Season 4 release. The PTR opened on September 3 at 3 AM UTC, providing players with a separate server environment to test new mechanics, systems, and content in preparation for the live season.

The Season 4 PTR introduces several additions aimed at improving player progression and overall gameplay experience. One of the major features is the Guild GvG System, which includes a battleground map exclusively for guilds. This system allows guild members to compete in PvP battles while fighting monsters and attempting to secure resource plots.
The PTR also introduces a Void Realm Invasion, a new map that is accessible to all players. This map provides opportunities to obtain equipment, blessings, and other rewards while facing more challenging enemies. Alongside this, the PTR introduces Void Realm T19 Difficulty, which offers tougher bosses and higher-value equipment drops.

Void Realm and World Level System
Materials collected from the Void Realm can now be used in potion crafting, allowing players to enhance their character stats in preparation for battles. The PTR also features a World Level System, which tracks the average character level of active players on the server. Players who are below the world level receive a temporary boost to their leveling speed, helping new players catch up and access higher-level content more efficiently.
The Equipment Black Market allows players to spend Gold or Chaos Stones to receive randomized gear across different tiers. Seasonal Treasures provide players with the chance to earn Soul Spars and other combat-enhancing items during the season in Void Realm dungeons. The Treasure of Seraph feature allows players to spend tickets to acquire experience points and potentially obtain Level 50 NFT treasures.

Mercenary Arena and Role of NFTs
The PTR also includes the Mercenary Arena, a points-based gameplay mode with two variations. The NFT-based Mercenary Arena is for players who own Mercenary NFTs, while the Fair Arena allows players without NFTs to participate. This system enables players to test their combat skills before deciding whether to compete in the Mercenary Arena. Mercenary NFTs can be purchased on the game’s ActPass NFT marketplace at the current floor price of 600 $SERAPH tokens, approximately $116, on the opBNB L2 chain.
In addition to these features, the PTR will test a new reward system planned for Season 4 Rift tokens. The public test phase allows players to familiarize themselves with the new features and assist developers in balancing the game ahead of the official release.
