Free-To-Play 2D Browser Shooter

Eternals Pew Pew is a free-to-play 2D browser shooter in which players defend the world of Eternia from waves of floating enemies. Players control the Holy Cat, piloting an armored aircraft to shoot down invaders while navigating the battlefield within a limited time and with restricted ammunition. Battles are randomized, requiring players to defeat a set number of enemies while completing optional objectives to achieve higher scores. The game offers multiple difficulty levels, allowing players to test their skills and compete for rankings on weekly leaderboards.

The game is accessible on PC browsers through the official Eternals website. Players can log in using email, Google, Apple, or Facebook accounts, or alternatively connect a web3 wallet such as Coin98 Wallet or Ramper Wallet. The wallet connects to the Viction blockchain, previously known as TomoChain, which supports zero-gas transactions to facilitate smooth and accessible gameplay.

The Alpha Playtest began in early August, providing players with the opportunity to earn NFT rewards while participating in weekly leaderboards and limited-time events. Two weekly leaderboards have already taken place, and Week 3 represents the midpoint of the playtest ahead of the expected open beta later in the month.

Patch 1.1 introduces several updates for Week 3. Nightmare Mode offers a higher difficulty level with stronger enemies and increased rewards, allowing players to accumulate more Shooting EXP and improve their position on the leaderboard. Guardian NFT holders receive new perks, including an exclusive gift, the Mythical Proto Dragon Roar aircraft. This reward is airdropped to players who held a Guardian NFT from the start of Week 2, and holding the NFT throughout Week 3 is required to qualify for Week 4 bonuses.

In addition, a new limited-time event is planned for Week 3, following the success of the previous Boss Raid event, although detailed information about the event has not yet been released. The Battle Pass has also been updated with 20 additional levels, providing players with further opportunities to unlock rewards. Players competing in Week 3 can also expect bonus Leaderboard Points, though specifics on how these points are calculated have not been disclosed.

Week 3 Leaderboard and Shooting EXP

The Week 3 Leaderboard allows players to earn Shooting EXP by completing matches in Easy, Normal, Hard, or Nightmare modes. Higher difficulties provide more points and include tougher challenges such as stronger enemies and bosses with unique abilities. Each match consumes Energy, which replenishes daily but can also be purchased using the premium currency Space Stones. Players start with a basic weapon that gradually degrades but can be repaired using gold earned during battles.

Successful playthroughs reward players with Shooting EXP, gold, and loot boxes containing materials that will be important for the upcoming open beta. Players who earn enough Shooting EXP to place high on the leaderboard receive Ranking Points and NFT Chests. These chests contain rare crafting materials and weapons that will carry over to the open beta. Ranking Points also contribute to the Seasonal Leaderboard, which is supported in part by player spending of Space Stones.

Additional progression is available through the Battle Pass, which comes in free and premium versions. The premium pass costs 50,000 Space Stones, roughly $10, and offers more opportunities to advance in the seasonal rankings. Players can also equip Genesis NFT Pets, which grant point bonuses based on rarity. Pets require plasma to remain active, which can be refilled if depleted, including for those acquired on secondary marketplaces.
