Delabs is the well-known web3 arm of South Korean game studio 4:33. The company is actively working on various web3 IPs and blockchain gaming projects. The team recently closed a funding round, bringing its total raised to $12 million to date. The achievement comes after Delabs' much-anticipated kart racing game, Rumble Racing Star, passed a successful invite-only playtest.
The team also recently released their whitepaper v1 and teased their $DELABS token launch. Polygon Ventures, an investor in Delabs, expressed confidence in the company's vision, stating: "The team is combining traditional gameplay with the dynamic potential of web3."
Having previously secured $4.7 million in seed funding, led by Hashed, Delabs is positioned to expand its footprint in the web3 gaming space. The company's portfolio includes the three aforementioned titles in development: Rumble Racing Star (RRS), Space Frontier, and Metabolts – each catering to diverse gaming preferences and audiences.
Delabs's design philosophy prioritizes wide audience appeal, cross-platform compatibility, and the cultivation of a vibrant esports ecosystem. The integration of web3 elements is seamless, ensuring players don't need to download any additional wallets.
Comprising industry veterans, including those who contributed to Nexon's hit game Kart Rider, Delabs seeks to recreate that magic in their upcoming titles. The emphasis on inclusivity is evident in Rumble Racing Star (RRS), featuring expressive characters, humor-infused weapons, and a visually lighter style compared to traditional racing games like Mario Kart.
In Rumble Racing Star (RRS), players can race with their NFTs, each possessing unique abilities. Space Frontier and Metabolts offer players creative control, allowing them to shape aspects of the game such as items, modes, and levels.
Players can earn points and collect star badges through daily and weekly missions within Rumble Racing Star (RRS), all contributing to RRS points. These RRS points will then be converted to Leaf Points at a ratio of 1:3.
Moreover, participants can accrue additional points by performing daily check-ins if they hold Adventure Pass NFTs or Metabolts NFTs. Furthermore, players will receive rewards in Delabs' upcoming $GAME token, slated for release in June 2024.
The airdrop campaign marks a significant milestone for Delabs as it seeks to foster community engagement and anticipation for its forthcoming $GAME token release, promising an immersive gaming experience for players worldwide.
As Delabs Games continues to push the boundaries of web3 gaming, its partnership with Arbitrum signifies a significant step toward realizing its vision of delivering cutting-edge gaming experiences to a global audience. With promising titles on the horizon and the backing of innovative technology, the future looks bright for Delabs Games and its community of gamers.
